On Friday, me and Liam are having the night off breastfeeding and feeding Jasper purely expressed milk...

Now which ladies have used the above bottles and how did you find them? did baby gulp the milk down?

Only i dont want him to gulp it, i would like him to work for it a bit and i found the airflow didnt allow that so much, i was a bit disappointed with them to be honest, the tommee tippee ones look more like boobs and do people find their babies gulp with these?

thank you

I find Paige gulps a fair bit at first with the TT bottles, but after the initial first few it tends to slow down.

But shes a very greedy baby and goes a bit nuts at food time. My parents describe her as a jack russle with a toy when shes feeding, going all crazy and shaking her head :) So she might not be a great example lol.

I havnt tried the avent bottles, as I prebrought the TT ones. Be useful to see what other people think of them.

We're the same as Melio not tried avent, and Ross is worse with the vari-flow TT teats too, but I just got the TT anti-colic ones and they seem much better. They are 30% off TT in mamas and papas just now as well.

Madison not BF but i have always found the TT bottles fab , the wee hole is supposed to face up and i didnt do that and i found she had more wind and then i read the box one time lmao ... the teats do suck in BUT they re supposed to its because they are not letting air into the bottle causing baby to get less wind , thats the only prob i see ppl complainin bout but theyre supposed to do that :) xx

Lisa, I totally didnt understand what you just said about the hole on the teat so I went and got the box and actually read it! Deffinatly be looking out for that little hole now!

lol it made a definite difference lol :D u can also get coloured tommee tippee bottles blue or pink ones v v cute!! i always use madisons pink ones when were going anywhaere lmao!! xx

Had both, personally for me Tommee Tippees were a nightmare! I use the Avent daily for Odhrán and can't fault them at all

Edit: The TT's leaked, no matter what way I placed the teat, there were nights me and Odhrán were covered in milk! Resulting in Odhrán not getting his full feed due to the huge leaks! Avent have never leaked for me and helped lots with Odhráns colic problems (along with infacol)

Ok, so after learning about the random hole in the teats of the TT Ive made sure the hole is at the top, and Paige seems to have been much better with wind over her last 2 feeds lol. wish Id actually read the box now lol

 I did have the smaller TT bottles (5oz) and no probs with those it was the larger ones! I also used TT manual breast pump, dummys, microwave sterilizer and had no probs with them.. But the 9oz bottles caused me a lot of hassle.. I also found the Avent are a lot easier to assemble.. Able to do them quicker too (handy when having a squealing baby wanting a bottle ) Maybe I just got a dodgy batch xx

I really wasnt keen on the TT manual breast pump. It seemed really flimsy and I got annoyed with it. I might get an avent bottle at one point and test run it :) Ahh the exciting things I get up to now!

Tell me about it  I used to have a shoe obsession.. It's now a dummy one! Odhrán has a ridiculous amount.. Exciting stuff xx

we bought a dr browns bottle. its fabby :) much better than the other two i reckon - bloody pricey though

Fine then, we'll just stick our advice  joking, my sis used them for my nephew.. She loved them!

hehehe ;) well now we have all three!!! the dr browns does seem to slow the flow though xxx

You can get the TT bottles with the same anti colic system as the Dr Browns. I was going to suggest them but i didn't reply in time lol xx

Thats the ones that had me like a bull  Tbh the ones with the built in air flow are a lot less hassle for washing and assembling too :)
