At what age can we get rid of baby monitors?

Hey, i use the monitor all the time, even for naps. As our house is quite big. LOs bedroom is upstairs and if I'm down in the kitchen (3 floors down) I would never hear him. Our bedrooms are next to each other, but i do still use it. xxxx

I think it depends on whether you can hear them without or not, if you can't hear LO at all without then like others I would keep using until they're old enough to come and let you know something's up 
I agree with that AnnaWiggles.
Our girl got to the stage where she could climb out of her cot so we re-configured it to a bed and now she can get out, open her door and call out to us if she wants to.
Still use the monitor though just so we can hear from downstairs.
