My bloody MIL is driving me insane!!!

Dont get me wrong I love her to bits and they do so much for me and has always been there for me if I need them.... but she is here just now and driving me insane!!!
Everything I do is questioned... "has Arianna had enough to eat?" "Should you not mush her food down more?" "BLW - whats that?" "Is she warm enough?" "I did it this way when mine were little"

Arrrgggggghhhhhhhh!!! Honestly, last night I went to the bathroom just to sit and have peace and quiet.... didnt even need the loo, just wanted alone time!!

I have the same lol what with my mum and my mil :wall:

Watch her head
Wind her like this
Where is her cardy and hat (im like its red hot weather)
Nannas know best
We use to do this

im like how do you think weve got on since she been born :wall:

I know their tryin to help but they aint half doing my head in

I know what you mean mine were down last week and all the time she was asking if Leif was to hot, then when i took his top off she was asking if he was warm enough

Feel a bit rotten though cause my OH was telling me they will be coming over twice in a row at the end of this month so i rolled my eyes, then he told me they are paying for us to go away for a weekend cause they think we deserve a holiday

They are great but sometimes his mum can be a little over bearing and she knows it cause she says it everytime she comes over, Yet she still continues to do it! lol.

  My ex MIL was like that, always took over when she came round

I have a fool proof solution for ignoring interfering mothers and MIL's. Move to another country! I still get the grief but its over the phone and so much easier to ignore!

Oh no thats the worst because they have to fit all the grief into a short time frame. My MIL is the same way when we go home for a visit. I feel for you hun, i really do!

I TOTALLY sympathise, I'm lucky my In Laws are in South Africa.

I have to really try when they're here to say to myself "She doesn't often get the chance to play nanny so for now I will just let her do it her way"

It's hard though!

My MIL said she didn't like modern prams because they don't look roomy enough. I told her not to worry because if the baby's elbows chaffed on the sides I'd pop some vaseline on!! That was when I was 6 weeks pregnant!!

Since then she's said she thinks denim on toddlers is cruel and that it's pointless to have kids then go back to work!

She's ok though - I just tease her summit rotten and she's lovely really.
