armpit lump? update, anyone please

I previously posted about an armpit lump i found. Its oval shaped and an inch long at the top of the armpit towards the arm rather than low towards the breast. It sometimes feels hard sometimes abit softer and is painless. I found it in april but its still here. About 3 weeks ago i had an ultrasound but they didnt give me an answer as to what it is. She said it could be a lymph node, fatty tissue or cysts. I tried to tell the sonographer it isnt a lymph node because its stuck to the skins surface rather than depeer in the armpit. I just spoke to the doctor who received my hospital report. She said it doesnt say what it is but maybe a lymph node and it does have a blood supply. Now that makes me worry as a cysts dont have their own blood supply. The doctor has told me to go in tomorrow so she can have a look and refer me to breast clinic.

Anyway im really worried and stressed out because of it. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and could it be due to pregnancy?

Please don't worry too much at this stage.

I had a referral to breast clinic under the 2 week rule in my last pregnancy and it scared me to death. They will look after you though and best to rule out anything sinister. I was more spooked that they referred me so quickly but they do that to put your mind at rest when you're pregnant. I think if it had been anything siiister when you had it scanned they would have likely followed it up then.

I hope you can get your reassurance quickly.

Hi mrsmk, I have a lump in my right armpit about the size of a golf ball and has become more obvious. The answer I've been giiven is that mine in accessory breast tissue and mine does hurt from time to time, must be because of hormones. I really hope you get some answers and they can put your mind at rest. Hopefully it is just a pregnancy related lump and will clear up after birth xxx

Thanks girls, the doctor wasnt going to initially send me for a scan because she said she doesnt think its anything serious, but i pushed for the scan. I know its not supposed to be there so its a constant worry. The sonographer also wasnt worried about it, just couldnt give me a definate answer. Im such a worrier and always think the worste of things. It does seem to fluctuate slightly from soft to hard and slightly bigger then smaller again. Hopefully its just something pregnancy related x
