I'm all in a flap lol full of nerves. Oliver is in his own room for the first time hoping he will sleep better in there. His little face was all confused when I put him to bed. How scary is this lol xxx

He is used to sleeping right next to my bed and me being right there close enough to hold his hand. I feel so guilty putting him in there :( xxx

It's horrible isn't it! I was the same, oscar has been in his room a few weeks now but we never intended putting him there until he was six months but it happened by accident! He was outgrowing the cot next to me and I was worried in case he had a growth spurt and didn't fit in it! So I sorted his big cot Bed out, lowered the mattress etc while my mum was here so I had time to do it and I tried him in the cot just to see if he liked it and he fell asleep! Never looked back and now it's the best thing, I can't imagine him back in with us now, we would be far too noisy! He sleeps much better there(except during his four month regression!) I was glued to the monitor for two weeks though! Good luck!

It is so hard I'm scared to sleep lol. The monitor is right beside me but I keep thinking I won't hear him. Should I open his door and mine ect lol. Should I go check on him just incase the monitor is broken haha. Never worried while he was in his crib in my room and I was downstairs tho lol. I keep worrying as he was confused will he be scared when he wakes up. He went down at half 8 and I did a dummy run about half 9 he is soundo. I made sure I transferred the blankets out the crib for now rather than use his new big ones hopefully that helps. Oh dear I'm a mess haha xxx

The first night is the worst. I hated it, spent it awake staring at the monitor.

But after a good night, and no night feed, I knew it was for the best.

Hope it goes well.

Oh he will end up loving it in the end and you will all sleep better trust me. The first few nights my daughter was on her own she would wake up and cry as she was scared I wasn't there but she soon got used to it and loves going to bed now. In fact I often hear her playing away in her cot lol x

You may find itll be the best thing you do!

I put my boy in his own room at 4 weeks old!.. in a cot lol. Safe to say I never had the monitor on dark and at full volume for a couple of weeks. But for it, he slept better. x

It changed his routine a bit I think where he was confused maybe but I slept better as I was less tired today. I did 2 dummy runs and an omg help me my arms come out my swaddle run lol. Then oddly he wanted a bottle about midnight where usually it's about 3-4ish. Then he had another at 5 and back to sleep till 8 so was impressed. Tonight he went down earlier at 7:30 and done 2 dummy runs and again he has just had a midnight feed. Weird to suddenly change but I'm not worried as he drinks so little during the day xxx

Awww glad it's going ok, it is so hard the first times! Well done! X

I hated the guest few weeks and even now (hes almodtb11months) I still have nights where I feel the need to check but it does get easier.

I left my boy for the first time ever overnight last night and it was horrible, so every new thing is horrible at furst.
