Are you friends with anyone famous?

I know quite a few but thats down to my job. My OH knows loads of footie players and football managers but again thats because of his job although he does socialise with then outside of work.

I have met quite a lot of famous people over the years and used to know a few footy players due to where I live.

But in terms of actual friendship my "famous" friend is Stacey Roca - she played Rachel in the Office Series 2 (the one Tim got it together with), she has been in a really good drama called "Lie with me" that also had Paul McGann and Andrew Lincoln in, she was also in that Strictly Confidential (she was the one who got murdered she was a sex addict. Come to think of it she got murdered for kinky sex in Lie With Me too!! Type cast!! ) and she is currently filming Wake The Dead with that Sue Johnson. She has a major part in it so hopefully this will be her proper big break. :D

Im soooo proud of her. We went to school together and were best mates through out and she was a bridesmaid at my wedding too.

And she MUST be famous cos she has her own page on Wikipedia!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

luvvie alert...   i've met loads of famous folk through my job... most of them were a few years ago and they probably wouldn't remember me now - i've had curry at marcus brigstocke's house, drinks with ant & dec, partied with melvyn bragg, drinks with bill bailey, actually there are loads of others... i won't list them. michael vaughn went to my school too - he was a couple of years above me though.

as for actually being friends with famous people - sir trevor mcdonald would probably give me a hug if he saw me on the street :) :) a few news reporters would do the same but i don't think they're famous enough to name, LOL! i'm mates with chris finch (coronation street, hollyoaks later, waterloo road) as we were on the same course at uni together. and i did theatre studies at school with tom ellis (now married to tamsin outhwaite).

:D :D

Nope lol..
my cousin has good connections, he has been clubbing a few times with grayham norton, and julian clary. not at the same time lol! he has also done background dancing for kylie.

david beckham is the father of all my children :rotfl: :rotfl:

or at least i hope he will be someday :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

but no i have no famous friends :)

Ray Parlour is my Dad's cousin (he played for Arsenal :( and England :D , but is probably more famous recently for his rather messy divorce!) He's lovely though and we've met lots of footballers through him.

Well my cousins wife's brother is David Eyres who plays for Oldham, I have infact been to his house

Hehe, he played for North End for years! My fella still has a pic of him on his old bedroom wall in his parent's house lol.

My parents live in the same street as David Lucas, ex north end keeper, now Leeds keeper.

I also went to school with the wife of north end's keeper atm.

my dad was in a film at the cinema (called funnybones, years ago now), and my dad also appeared on crimewatch (in a reconstruction, not as a criminal lol).

Funnybones is a brilliant film! :cheer: What did he do?

Oh my god!!! I can't beleive I forgot to mention Gary Bakewell

He is the brother of my best mate, Kev. I hardly see Gary nowadays as he lives down in London, but we have known each other for about 18yrs :)

He has done loads of TV series (been in Casualty, Spooks, Keeping up appearances) He also played Paul McCartney in the Beatles movie Backbeat. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0049049/

I once met Freddy Star, and he sent his "man" into the pub 1st to ask that one speak to him  but thats about it. Iv got Alan Carr on my FB but i think everyone else on FB has him to :rotfl:

My brother is friends with Gok Wan, Matt Lucas, David Waliams and Rachael Stephens that I know of. His husband is a photographer at film premiers aswell and I know he speaks to Graham Norton, Will Young and Stephen Fry :D

i was friends with David Prowse's son(played Darth Vader in Star Wars and for those of you that remember the Green Cross code man), he went to my school and we were mates for a long time.
met Ian Wright a few times (ex Palace and Arsenal footballer and did that programme on tv), also met a few other Palace players from the 80's

i live about 2 mins from Sean Bean and new him quite well, his mum and dad still live there, and my brother in laws uncle is Peter Sringfellow have met him a few timw at familt gatherings

I used to go to school with Karen Matthews, does that count? :?

I know quite a few famous classical musicians, but unless you're into classical music, you're unlikely to know who they are - Yakov Kreizberg, Chris Seaman, and Walter Weller would know me on the street, and I've met Vladimir Ashkenazy, Gil Shaham, Stephen Hough, Alison Balsom and sung with Mark Padmore, Sarah Connolly, Rumon Gamba, and the recently deceased Richard Hickox a few times. (I'm sure all of you are going....who??? )

Other than that, I went to school with Mahtob from the book/movie 'Not Without My Daughter' (not the actress, the actual person), but she's not really famous, and I am good friends with a guy who is good friends with Pharrell Williams, so a 2-degree separation. :)

I've never known anyone even vaguely famous. The runner Katherine Endacott went to my school and was in the year above me but I never knew her personally.

One of my very good friends is a respected archeologist who presents on US Time team and Xtreme Acheology but that's it :)

Well, my Dad is an author and artist - he has written several books which are out and about at the moment including the Lamb who Came for Dinner, A Hug for Humphrey, The Monkey with a Bright Blue Bottom and some others. For those of you old enough to remember them, he also did the original drawings for the Raggy Dolls.

Oh, and I went to school with Amy Winehouse's husband - now THERE'S something you want to brag about....
