sliced cold deli meat - like ham, turkey, etc.

Ive started making my lunch coz the canteen here is rubbish and I love ham sandwiches, my friend said I should avoid them but I thought she was being dramatic, until I heard yesterday about an outbreak of E Coli from cooked ham

and now apparently we shouldnt be eating any fattening food either (on the news this morning)

most of the stuff they say is codswallop..dont stress over food to much.. only avoid stuff thats really threatening..there are sites that tell u whats safe and not safe..xxham and cold deli meats are fine.. the only meat u need to avoid is any undercooked and liver.

yep- still eating ham etc...

Does anyone know about pepperami's though?? I love'em.

I can't get enough of those at the moment  :D

From what I've heard, the risk of food poisoning is supposed to be higher with deli meats (I think), but I have had the odd slice myself. I was also told that you're not supposed to have tinned meats for some reason. (For me, this is a little disappointing, as I must be one of the few people in the world who actually likes Corned Beef, but there you go.)

I'm not touching the stuff. I shop in Morrisons where the outbreak is supposed to have came from, and it has put me right off.

I am getting really fed up of all the food scares. I get so confussed about what I can and can't eat without added worries about food poisioning. xxx

im eating all hams etc, i love my ham and crisp butties

I shop at Morrissons too but I wouldn't let it put you off. I'm sure as long as you're not eating your own boby weight in the stuff, the risks aren't too high!

I've been eating loads of ham etc, AND fattening stuff! As I did with my last pregnancy never did my LO any harm.

Ignore them  :D

Eat what you want (within reason) got to have some perks havent we lol!!!

This is the theory I have been following all the way along, in fact I don't eat ANYTHING from the deli counter in Tesco. I only buy the pre-packed stuff.
