Hi all! Just last week I found out I was pregnant and after hours of Googling different questions I thought it was about time I join a forum myself . I guess my due date will change once I have my first scan but based on last period I should be about 7 weeks. Very excited but like others in here I've felt a bit anxious at my lack of symptoms! Maybe I'm just lucky and had no sickness, but wish my body would give me some other indications that something positive is going on in there!

Has anyone been for their scan yet apart from Tillyfloss?

Darcey hope the symptoms leave you alone tomorrow! Saw on facebook you were up just before me.. I'm an hour in front of you and have to wake up at silly o clock everyday anyway. Hope you're not too tired!

I didnt really sleep well last night either, kept tossing and turning all night long. Havent got much to do at work today so this day has been veeeeery long. Still got 1,5 hours to go too... Might see if I can sneak tomorrow off as I only work half a day anyway.

Good luck for the appointments ladies! Oh i love scans! My friend had hers and its just amazing how they go from a wee blob at 8weeks to a proper little person within a matter of weeks!

I bought a Doppler too Valentina but to scared I use it!

Here are my scans, first one at 6 weeks 4 days and second at 8 weeks 3 days! So on the first I was due beginning of April but second one dated me 31st March! Xx

Oh wow what a difference between the two. I'll be 8w 6d according to my ovulation (as my periods are very irregular I just added 2 weeks to my ovulation date)
I think I'll spend the whole of tomorrow evening trying to find the heartbeat lol

My 7 week scan is still two weeks away, I'm right at the end of April though so way behind the rest of you!

Valentina I'm shattered been on the go all day, I'm back at college tomorrow from 9am till 8pm I'm gonna have to tell my lecturers because I'll be falling asleep in class xx

Aw wow. They really do grow so quickly! 2 weeks till my scan. But i dont know if its on the 13th or 15th. I assuming 15th and hoping the 15th as the scanners in the hospital ill be going to then are much clearer. Hoping 3rd time round ill get a good 12 week pic as with my first he was too hyper so couldnt get a good still one. 2nd was at 9 weeks and looked like a wee turkey lol!
Thats a longgg say darcy id be falling asleep even if i wasnt preggers lol!! Good luck with that one

Are you all paying to get early scans done? I have my booking appointment next week and will be about 8 weeks at that point. Was really considering getting an early scan though just to hear the heart beat as I'm so impatient! We're you all given your first scan date at your booking appointment?
It's all very exciting! Just pray everything is ok. I suppose it's common for 1st time mummies to be anxious about pregnancy? I just want to get to 12 weeks to I can relax a little! Xx

We're having an early scan, I didn't have one with my other two but I'd like one this time around. I got a really good line at 13dpo so I'm now paranoid about twins!

You get your scan date as a separate letter, your booking in appointment is usually just an introduction to your mw, she (or he!) will go through when your appointments will be, things about you so weight, lifestyle, health history, they'll go through diet, vitamins, etc. They'll give you a folder or booklet that will be your pregnancy notes, and you'll need to fill out family medical history, any previous pgs/mcs, hereditary problems on both sides of the family, etc.

Then your scan appointment comes through the post, the appt is usually between 12 and 14 weeks

I'm on #3 and I'm more anxious about this pregnancy than the previous because I've never found out this early before. I was almost 8 weeks with my boys before I knew, so I was well through the danger zone.

Shabba I dont live in the UK, where I live the first scan is anywhere between 9-12 weeks, I'll be 8w6d according to my dates so just a day early. I will be paying extra for a gender scan at 15/16 weeks though.. Cant wait until the 20 week scan lol.
