Just a quick question to see if any of you girls suffer with SVT? To long of a word to type but its a very high heart rate, symtoms like a panic attack however your heart rate is higher...

I have anxiety and have had panic attacks in the past but my heart rate isn't high so I can't really help with that unfortunately x

Yer i have that too but its brought on by fear over the svt attack x

I get runs of svts but I have a heart condition, svts in themselves are fairly normal and I've been told to expect more as apparently pregnancy can make it worse (or start it up) have you been prescribed anything or does your cardiologist think it's just benign svt best left alone? I know they don't feel nice so you certainly have my sympathies :-(

I have had a rasied pulse since 11 weeks, around 90-110 but then i get bouts of it pounding at about 140 and it seems to be worse after i eat, i had a24 hour tape last week and also got signed off work at 27 weeks which i was not excpecting :s
Don't know when i will get my results but i hope its just a pregnancy thing :(

Hey mel wish mine was 110, mine shot up to 176 for 3hrs when i was 2wks preggers, had heart echo, and tape all ok, but this hospital where i was is pants, ive been refereed to sheffield now to look into it, ive never had answers from chesterfield, they have put big fear in my, as when i can an attack it also brings a panic attack on :( xx

I know what you mean it is scary and makes you anxious theres something wrong with your heart which doesn't really help matters! it took me from 11 weeks to 30 weeks to get a 24 hour tape and thats only because i work in gynae at Derby and had to try and sort stuff myself, my midwife and gp kinda just past me back and forth to each other and didn't do anything.

Hello I hope I am not too late in this thread. I have SVT and just got released from the hospital (this attack made me stay over night because my troponin levels were high ~a heart enzyme that shows my heart was stressed during my attack~ I found out I was pregnant due to an SVT attack that landed me in the ER in December. That attack, however, did not raise my troponin levels and it was not as high...I believe my heart rate peaked at 175. This last one got up to 215 VERY SCARY...even worse I was driving with my toddler when it happened and I had to call 911 ; / I am now being referred to a specialist down the hill and a more equipped hospital for delivery. Since the last attack I keep experiencing 'skipped beats' and bouts that feel like another attack is coming...also my anxiety has been plagueing me with fear of another attack ; / I am terrified for delivery because there is now talk to C section. I had my first naturally with no SVT problems at all....now I feel like my world had been turned upside down. I also have low BP so im afraid of all the complications that can go wrong. ; / I am 30 weeks, due in August, expecting my second child..this time a boy! : D
