Anyone planning on having a baby shower?

I agree with Pinky. If someone asked me if I wanted one then I'd say no I think, cos I'd be worried that people would feel obliged to get a gift. However, if one was thrown for me as a surprise then I'd probably bloody love it!!!

Your friend who was mean might be arranging one and trying to throw you off scent! Otherwise she's a bit of a mean ass if you've organised parties for her, ungrateful bitch!

If you don't want pressies and just want a get together before baby comes and are resigned to organising it yourself, why not just have a BBQ or party or something?

A BBQ is a great idea, not so much of a baby shower then and can be done relatively cheaply xx

I don't think they will really hit off over here like they have in America. When my friend told us all that she was having one, everyone was like "what?, why?" She's the only person I have known to have one and I have known 6 pregnant people in the last year. BBQ is a good idea though xx

Ooh yes a BBQ sounds fab as long as Ive stopped being sick by then as BBQ food smells will probably have me hugging the loo all day x
