i have never been, but i done a £9.50pp sun holiday and thats were im going :)

its the first week in October, but im not bothered about the weather (hopefully not rain though)
but it will be a nice break.

is it good?

I've never been so sorry for this reply lol

Just wondered about them £9.50 hols and whether they are any good? i've always fancied one but never know if there's loads of hidden costs that end up making it cost a fortune???

my mother used to drag me on those holidays, there great for kids, wtih the rory tiger show thingys, cliffs' has aa good swimming pool, and there is quite a bit out and about,

its a nightmare to get to tho, make sure uve got ur map book ready!

Where abouts is it? Never heard of it. Obviously it's in Devon

Ooooo Rory the Tiger is ACE!!!!! lol Used to go to Haven all the time when I was little. The Tiger Club song was great...how did it go again???

"We're running through the jungle...blah....blah...blah

"we're chasing the cheetas, running for rhinos and big alligators, giant gorillas and little bear cubs! we're having fun at the tiger club! the t t tiger club!!!!!" (something like that i think anyways :? )

(Sorry again Dionne for wasting space)

yeah its £9.50 pp but even if there are 2 of you going you have to pay for 4 people so for all of us to go it was just under £40. no hiden charges some places have entertainment charges but i checked before and applied for the ones i didnt have to pay for.

Devon cliffs is in devon  its quite popular holiday site, but iv never been. sure the kids will love it.

 i have to get a bikini for the indoor pool

ive never been D but my friend went on one of those £9.50 holidays to cornwall and had a ball. Enjoy! make the most of being able to go on hol in school time too while the kids are younger! :D

You are soooo lucky to be able to think about buying a bikini. Now when I go to the pool I wear a swimsuit with extra support on boobs and belly and with Carls knee lenth shorts on top

hey dionne, I'm off on monday on a £9.50 hol to perran porth a haven hol.

I'm soooo looking forward to it!!!! our first family hol, and I'd reccomend haven to anyone I've been going to haven sites since being a little kid!

The devon cliffs one though my dad goes to and made me put it for my second choice if I didn't get the one I wanted!!!! he loves it there!

So I think you will enjoy it

ME and DH went to Looe and Perranporth for our first little hol. Camping in a tent for a few nights, had a great time :D Got stung on the foot by a weever fish at Newquay though (he thought I'd stood on a stone and called me a wuss :shakehead: )

lol for some reason my brain went "mushhhh" when I read this and I thought you were referring to the white cliffs of DOVER lol!
Was gonna say I've only been there several times to get on a ferry lol.

No I've never been to Devon Cliffs - never heard of the place (well I've heard of Devon, but not Devon Cliffs specifically).

its a very popular holiday site in devon, thats all i no.

angie, were there any other hiden charges for you? or just £9.50 pp?

iv just got mine through they want another £54 for power charges?? linen?? entertainment passes.

i no entertainment passes are optional and so is linen but whats power charges?

Dionne, You have to pay for power charges unfortunately, but the linen is optional, :) you can take your own, which is what I'm doing  and you can either have the passes or not but be careful some sites wont let you in the amusements and swimming pools with out the passes which is a bumber!

All I paid for additional to the £9.50 is power charges and entertainment passes which came to £32 that's all, and £10 of that you will get back at the end of your trip!

i think with the passes you don't have to find extra things for the Lo's to do either! not that i have that problem yet, but past experience with neice's and nephew's the passes have been a blessing!

Hope this helps. x

make sure u get the entertainment passes, they get you into rory clubthings, the night entertainment, the swimming pool, and the amusement arcades, wtihout them your more aless just in your caravan, its well worth it :)

I just looked up Devon cliffs on the haven site and it looks really really nice! Thinking of going next year as it's not too far from me. Yeah Kina it's in Exmouth (I was nosey and wanted to know where it was ) Does look really good though!

I bet Ella had a wicked party in your belly

I've been to Devon Cliffs a few times.

It's got fantastic amenities.

The biggest and best Haven site in the country I think

We only stopped going because they stopped allowing pets.

It has a new spa complex too.

Only 2 negative things I would say:
1 - The army train nearby so it's not uncommon to hear very loud gun shots etc. Think they shoot into the sea from the cliff tops. Used to scare the hell out of my dog but probably won't bother Dior or Harley.

2: Because the site is so big it is not uncommon for it to take you atleast 15-20mins to walk to the main complex and it's quite hilly but what goes up must come down so you get rewarded for your hiking efforts with a downhill roll :rotfl:

Have fun

We've been doing the Sun holidays for about 5yrs now and always been satisfied.

Only thing I would say is if they give you a rubbish caravan (window seals broken, heating not working properly etc) then complain. They have always moved us with no extra charge. Especially if you have kids.
