Anyone else scared of the 20 week scan?

hello, im really scared of the anomaly scan, i know its exciting to see your baby on screen and get the chance to find out the sex but im so scared that they are gonna find sumthin wrong did anyone else feel like this?

most people are scared of their 12 week scan, but i was terrified of the 20 week one!

i was thinking they're going to find something wrong with her etc and couldnt stop worrying about it because i know they check everything.

dont forget though, when shes doing the scan, she will be quiet sometimes because she has to concentrate on what shes doing.
i thought there was something wrong everytime she went quiet and kept asking, is everything ok, and i could tell she was getting annoyed and just wanted me to shut up so she could check everything!

dont worry though, everything will be fine and enjoy the scan, because it goes too quick and u forget what u saw!

It's only natural to feel like that. I am nervous about it already and I have another 3 weeks to wait.

The thing I remember from last time was that at the 20 week scan don't be worried if the sonographer isn't very chatty because it is a detailed scan and they concentrate while they are checking everything. Then after all of that you get all the good stuff like finding out the gender and getting to see baby. You will be fine

thanx ladies, ive got mine on friday and aswell as bein totaly excited im absolutely terrified, i didnt have the triple tests either coz id rather now know and it wouldnt of made a difference but because they are actualy lookin at the baby this time im scared im sure everythin will be fine. thankyou x

im not too scared(yet) because the worst is over and its fairly safe to assume everything is fine....im sticking with that assumption cos i'd go mad with worry otherwise!!

ofcourse we can, what time is ures at? im so scared but excited at the same time... ive had 4 scans upto now and nuthin has shown up before but this is the one where they check everythin in detail how r u feelin about it?

i waqs sooo worried, i felt sick i was so nervous! but everything was fine, once i relaxed into it it was lovely, wish it had been a bit longer tho, bubs was pretty quiet cos s/he was only just waking up

I was more scared of the 12 week one because I had been feeling so well that I couldn't believe that there was anything in there! Was v excited about the 20 week one.

i was the same kylie - even though i saw a blob on an early scan at 7 weeks, i was convinced it had vanished cos i my only real symptom was headaches!

i am really scared about the 20 week one (or 22+4 week one in my case ) - i go through phases of feeling utterly convinced that my baby has something really wrong with it...

either that or its going to hate me (anyone read "we need to talk about kevin" ???)

It's really exciting. I think that the only let down is that because the baby is so much bigger you can't see the whole thing in one go like you can at the 12 week scan - and it's a bit more stubborn!! so I found that my picture wasn't as good. Saying that, Midna has got a FAB picture!

Jodie honey my scan is at 9:50am so early on and i'll be 19+5. I am worried that they will find a heart problem as we have hereditary heart defects in hubbys family

Fingers crossed for us both! Also do you fancy being text buddies then we can text after the scan to each other and keep in contact as we are so close in dates?

My anomaly scan is next Thursday and I am looking forward to see the baby again, at the same time I feel a bit anxious because "there might" be something wrong...

...but there's no reason to be negative right?
