It was suggested to me today by a nurse that chamomile tea (caffeine free) is great for babies when they have colic and are very stressy crying babies. Has anyone else used or heard of this?????

A boy I babysit for (he's 7) has it before he goes to bed to help him sleep. I don't know if it actually makes a difference though?

I've not heard of this but here they have been trying sugar water for Tilly when she had paddies. The co sultans has said that it can calm very upset babies down.

It's sucrose or something I think. It was in a bottle but you could perhaps make it yourself?

I've heard of using fennel tea for colic but not chamomile x

Doesn't nelsons teething powder contain chamomile? Never heard it being used for colic but if you try it, let us know how it goes. :) x

It's a common thing in Greece. All babies there have chamomile tea (special baby variety that you buy from shy supermarket). They usually have it between feeds or when they seem to have a colic.
It's unsweetened though. I tried it once and tasted quite bitter to me( though camomile it naturally tastes a little sweet)
Mummies in my country swear by that for colics lol.
