How far along are you?
I had hardly any symptoms at all and felt amazing until 8 weeks, a few days before I got married and BAM! I had almost every symptom going, my migraines were constant, couldn't stop being sick and just needed to sleep constantly. I felt horrendous on the wedding morning, was very dizzy, faint, nauseous, achy and couldn't eat anything. Hubby was convinced I would end up having to be pushed down the isle in a wheelchair but thankfully that didn't happen XD It was still an amazing day of course, but since then it just got worse. We came back from our honeymoon last week and although it was a lovely place and a lovely holiday we just didn't enjoy it as much as we hoped. I felt awful most days, whenever we went on an excursion (which we booked at home before the symptoms started), even though I felt ok before we set off, once we got going I was throwing up constantly in front of everybody trying to enjoy their holiday and we got a lot of dirty looks/ sly comments etc. I think people just assumed I was hung over. I have never drank as I hate the taste and have always been a migraine sufferer. Poor hubby was just stuck looking after me and I started to wish we hadn't gotten pregnant until afterwards. One of the days we had to pay £80 to get a taxi back to the hotel as I couldn't cope, but the driver was lovely and told us I was just like his wife and that the baby must be a boy as I was so ill, so I will be interested to find out the gender later on
On the way back home I was still sick with a horrific headache and started fainting as we had to que for over an hour to get our luggage checked in. The whole thing was just too much, I definitely will NOT be going on holiday whilst pregnant again lol! I couldn't go anywhere without zip up sick bags, loo roll and something to snack on. I also had to have a puke bucket by the bed at all times as I cant always make it to the toilet, and sometimes I don't know its going to happen until its too late.
Anyway, I have been convinced I was going to be one of those poor unfortunate ladies who are ill through the entire pregnancy, but all of a sudden this weekend after turning 12 weeks my symptoms have gone. I have no sickness, no soreness, no headache, only a tiny amount of nausea and I have much more energy. Oh, and I can eat whatever I want again lol. Hopefully it will stay this way for a while now.
Hopefully it will be the same for you and the symptoms will ease off when the placenta takes over. Just try not to do too much until the worst is over with, keep yourself comfortable and just ride it out.
I lost my first pregnancy but I did enjoy it whilst it lasted as I had minimal symptoms and found it pretty easy other than fatigue. This time is obviously completely different and our little bean is perfectly healthy this time, so I think its just a sign of a healthy pregnancy for me, so in a way I really don't mind putting up with it as long as things continue to progress nicely
Think positively, I'm sure you will start to feel better soon!
