love it!!

don't be scared  lots of babies do turn. I even saw a vid of one turning on the day it was born . There's loads of exercises you can do to help. Lea m posted some recently but I can't remember where she had got them from. have you tried posting in ask a mum? you might get some positive stories there

i am breech just had it confirmed he is still breech today i have to go back in 2 weeks and have a scan buts its pretty likely i will be having a c section.

I was breech with DD for ages and got sent for a scan at 37 weeks to find she'd turned head down! It's quite common I'm told and not something to worry about until you get a lot closer!

I did didnt I? I cant even remember where I got them from!? I will google now and see if I can find it!

Oooh found this
In one study of 71 breech babies, 65 turned when their mother adopted the knee-chest position. To do this, kneel on your bed with your bottom in the air and your hips flexed at slightly more than 90 degrees (don't let your thighs press against your bump). Try to keep your head, shoulders, and upper chest flat on your mattress. Maintain this position for 15 minutes every two waking hours for five consecutive days.

Alternatively, try lying on your back with your hips slightly elevated and your hips and knees flexed. Gently roll from side to side for 10 minutes and repeat this manoeuvre three times a day. If you have had any backache, pelvic pain or hip pain during your pregnancy, do talk to your midwife or physiotherapist before you try this

I will keep looking for the long list of things to do to try and help that I posted a while back!

From what week does it actually matter? My midwife told me at the last appointment (last thurs) that there's no point in writing down the presentation as the little bugger was rotating again already anyway. So at which stage do they stop?

My hospital weren't worried til 36wks they said and then they can sometimes manually turn baby for you (depends on hosp) before even considering a c-sec.

My LO turned at 36wks and timing was only an issue for me because I am having the birth bought forward due to diabetes so we are on a tighter schedule than most lol.

If you take a step back and think about it some women don't have thier LO's til 42wks.... that's masses of time for baby to do some breakdancing, throw a couple of parties, have a holiday and still have time to turn!!! Remember children have no concept of time!

PS. Emmie ask about an ECV at next appt as Peterborough do them (manual turn by a doctor). I reckon they'd offer you that as an option at 36w appt before deciding on a c-sec..

Yup, me :wall:
He has been every time and he's rather squiged in there as i'm only 4ft 11 - have been getting a bit upset but if i have to have a c-section at least he'll be here BEFORE xmas

Will try those exercises though i think

My son was breech for ages, he eventually turned just before my presentation scan at 36 weeks. I did the hands & knees thing & spent every evening in front of the tv leaning forwards on my birth ball. I don't know if that made a difference or he would have turned anyway but there's no harm in trying  Hope LO turns for you

My baby was breech until 37 weeks. She had been Breech at every appointment since 28 weeks. I went for scan & possible ECV at 37 weeks but they checked & she had turned so fingers crossed your LO does the same for you!

my little one was breech until last week (33 weeks) and then doc reckons he/she was head down at the check up, however since then baby has had hiccups and they aint coming from a downwardly direction, im sure bubs has done a spin on me.

My doc reckons its still early days, babies still whizzing up and down and not to worry about it, its natures way for babies to turn eventually and most do. Do lots of cleanig on your hands and knees and wiggle your butt about a bit at the same time, try to see the humour in it, babies can be awkward and cause us all kinds of trouble and angst!!

I hope your baby turns for you

To give you hope, a friend's baby boy (all 10lb of him!) turned on the day he was born. My friend felt him flip around and knew instantly that he was on his way- her labour started within 2 hours!

My bubs was breech too through out the majority of my pregnancy. She turned towards the end, not sure when exactly as I didn't feel her move. But it was confirmed at 36 week that she had turned.

You have plenty of time still for bubs to turn.

Thanks everyone, I think she will turn but its just the waiting which I dont like :wall:
