hello ladies, have had bad legs on and off since i was 17 and have been on painkillers co/codamol on and off since then, well now im pregnant my 1st doctor took me off them and gave me plain paracetamol, now my legs have gotten bad again so i saw my g.p and she gave me my co/codamol back and said they are perfectly safe, only side effect is constipation, has anyone been on painkillers whilst preg with no problems? thanks saffy x

I was prescribed co-codamol for headaches myself. Paracetemol just doesn't touch the pain on it's own. Not had any problems with it and I was told it is quite safe :)

I was prescribed movelat (sp) gel for my bad back. its an anti-inflamatry and analgesic

I was given cocodamol when I was 6 weeks pregnant when I was in hospital. Just keep an eye on the dose I guess, I remember it being a bit lower than when I had had them pre-pregnancy

i wasn't prescribed painkillers but i was prescribed steroids cozi had an asthma attack when i was about 6 months pregnant.
i was terrified to take them but it was either that or die.

Hi

Im sure it would be fine if the doctor knows you are pregnant
