Hey ladies, I'm due to head off on a jet plane literally bang on my 12 weeks. I'm thinking of consulting my midwife as I normally take an aspirin before flying and that's under the big 'no!' Heading when it comes to meds obviously. Just wondered if anyone has any flying experience in pregnancy, specifically this time period x

I went to Miami and New York when I was 12 weeks pregnant last time.

I went to Provence this year and was also 12 weeks pregnant when I flew. I’m also on low dose aspirin this pregnancy for potential placental complications.

I don’t think flying is anything to be too concerned about. If it’s long haul, keep hydrated and moving around and I’d advise an aisle seat for toilet trips.

Enjoy your trip

I flew to turkey when I was 5:6 weeks..
and in a few weeks will be going on a flight again when I am around 15/16 weeks ..

How many hours is your flight ?

I went to Vegas between 7-8 weeks HS. It was a 10.5 hour flight, and my drs advice was make sure you get up and move every hour or 2 and drink LOTS of water!

Where are you off?

I was on a flight at 6+2 and I'll be taking another flight soon when I'm 10 weeks. Definitely recommend an aisle seat for all the toilet trips, like TORino said!

I flew in August a couple of weeks after getting my bfp must have been around 6 weeks and was bleeding. All was ok. Just make sure you move about and drink plenty x

I am flying in December when I'll be about 12 weeks. I have no prior experience of flying whilst pregnant, but I also plan to mention it to my midwife. I understand though that we should be fine to fly until the third trimester.

Fab thanks ladies. My flight is only 3 hours but have to take aspirin due to a previous blood issues (10yrs ago, not recent!). You have all put me at ease :) I will enjoy my Christmas market experience without concern x

I'm due to fly to Vegas in Feb, I'll be 16 weeks.

I flew in my last pregnancy when I was 8 weeks.

I went skiing at 13 weeks! Dr gave me the all clear to fly and ski. Take lots of snacks for the flight and any transfers x

I'm hoping to fly to Australia to spend time with my also pregnant sister in April when I'll be 6 months pregnant. I think you can fly unless you're 7-7.5 months right?
