Anyone been investigated for recrurrent MC at Guys & St Thomas's? Are they a specialist clinic like St Mary's or do they just give the usual tests that you get at your normal hospital? I'm so confused...I thought I was getting a referral to st marys and its come through to Guys...I'd love to hear from someone who's been to these as I'm totally at a loss as to what is going on x

I had all of my tests at my local hospital (over 4 years now) and went to Guys in January to see a specialist about moving on to IVF privately. Really helpful - felt so comfortable and secure that they knew what they were doing. We both had blood tests and I had a scan then and there on the day. Saw my polyp and said he wants it removed before we start treatment - pushed this through on the NHS for us, still at Guys. Had that treatment and as he suggested, we are going to give it a couple of natural months before we progress with it to see if it’s solved our unexplained rollercoaster.

All in all - really helpful, supportive team and I would recommend! Xx

hi Kayleigh, thanks so much this is really helpful. Do you mind me asking if yours is a conception issue or both conception and MC? I think Guys are definitely the go to for people with fertility issues as my sister had IVF through them and they were great, I just wonder if they also specialize on the MC side as they aren't one I've come across for that specifically?

I didn't have investigations done at Guys, but did have IVF & ICSI & Egg Freezing etc there several times. My observation is that they are very clinically-focused, which makes for a nice hygienic well-run operation and medical advice, but may not account for other non-proven factors that could be affecting things.
