Any one been on job seakers and signed off sick

I was on job seakers as I lost my job just beofre I found out I was pregant, I have been diagnosed with spd and on crutches so doctor has signed me off, got letter today to say I am only entitled to £27 a week, My other half is in part time work but trying very hard to get full time work he brings home less than £70 a week. How do I go about finding if we can get any more help, thank you

If you are signed off sick I would have thought you would be entitled to ESA (Employment & Support Allowance) as you are not available for work. It is what used to be Incapacity benefit but they've changed it. Worth contacting your jobcentre to apply....good luck! xx

I had to be signed off work with SPD at 18 weeks and was on crutches by 20 so I feel your pain hun. I got ESA until 4 weeks before my due date and then it switched to MA.
