iv had a really bad chest for the last 3 weeks...

went to docs yesterday for him to say its a really bad chest infection and without a xray he could only say he thinks its bronchitis...

he has given me cephalexin 500mg to take 3per day for 7 days, he said it was completely safe because of how far i am, but when i went to the chemist to get the script, the pharmacist did say if you get any reduced movement or anything abnormal for me with baby, bleeding, pains etc then to go straight to the hosp

ive taken the dose yesterday and today, and feel fine, but all ive done is sleep, get a drink, pee n cough, the pharmacsit has reallly put worry into my mind, i didnt really want any antibiotics from docs, but im literally am struggling to breathe without coffing up crap or gasping for breath, n had same thing last yr n ended up with steriods n antibiotics for 6 weeks before i started to get better,

i might just be worrying over nothing beause i cant really find much on internet about it not being safe, but nothing really to say that it is either,

any one out there that could help i would b reallllllllllllllly greatful,

anyone else had antibiotics late on in pregnancy n had any problems??

xxx

Hi, cant offer any advice im afraid, but didnt want to read and run.

Hope you are feeling better this evening.

I recently had to take some co-codamol for rib flare and strained tummy ligaments due to coughing (sooooooo sore) and i was unsure about taking the meds too.

the doctor was more than happy to talk through with me. if you still worried, ask for a telephone appointment with your doc, see if they can put your mind at rest.

Take Care xxxx
