I there,

I home School my 7 year old so was just wondering if anyone else was on here too.

I am expecting Number 2 and was wondering if anyone had tips about fitting in a newborn and work?

At the moment I'm pretty sick so we are spending alot of time laying on the couch reading and doing worksheets so I'm coping ok and once this stage has passed I'll be able to put some more effort into it again.

Just concerned how I'll fit a baby into our routine!

Hi moresmiles!

I do not homeschool, this option does not exist in Spain (school education is compulsory) but I do think it is a very interesting option. As a language teacher, the idea of teaching my children is very "tempting" in some ways. I would be very interested to know more about your experience. I have to say that I admire your discipline and willpower. Do you also hold down a job outside your home, does your partner participate in the homeschooling? Sorry, so many questions...I am curious!

As far as fitting a newborn in, I suspect it will be a wee bit difficult at first due to the fact that for the first few weeks babies dont really have a routine...hope someone else can give you some tips....

I am not very useful, am I? :rotfl:

By the way, I just noticed your joining date - welcome to the forum!

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the reply, and the welcome! So far finding the site very helpful :D

I work part time for a playgroup and luckily my daughter comes along with me. She usually sits at the table and does the work set for her but sometimes she joins in the crafts. She doesn't seem to mind joining in with a bunch of 2 year olds!

My dad does a few thing with her yes. He works but He takes her swimming and to her taekwon do lessons but the education is mainly my role.

We usually have great fun and although we have a good routine in place I am starting to think that a baby may slot in quite nicely as we can be flexible.
