Just got back from my first antenatal class. I enjoyed it, talking to other pregnant women and getting some answers to my questions... But I already knew most of what she was saying from coming on here! There was a lady there who is expecting her second and didn't know half of the signs or things to do in early labour etc that I did :) Sometimes I love coming on here ya know, I suddenly feel much more confident about that whole thing! Thank you ladies for keeping me so well informed!! Next one's next thursday and dragging OH along to that one whether he likes it or not  xx

Ha ha! Yes, I know exactly what you mean! I was really surprised at the lack of knowledge some of the other mums to be had. One girl assumed once your waters went, you were in established labour. Fair enough, in the early stages of pregnancy you might not know this, but to be 32 weeks pregnant and not know that is a tad strange to me! As far as I'm concerned knowledge is power, regardless of the horror stories! I too love this forum as any question I may have is definitely covered in here somewhere!

Precisely! One girl was 39 weeks and didn't even know what a "show" was... And another thought that until your waters have broken you're not in labour... Not forgetting only me and one other girl knew that you were fully dilated at 10cms... It makes you wonder what they've done their whole lives! I knew that before I was pregnant!! x

Although i was always aware of what a show is ive never had one with my previous pregnancys and labour has always started with my waters breaking for me.
I dont understand why people dont read books or leaflets the midwife gives them so they atleast know something other than movie style births.
