Apart from it being Christmas (I'm a total bah humbug) I can't get my flippin laundry to dry :wall2:

I've had two racks of washing outside today and it still isn't dry... It'll end up stinking of damp and I'll have to start all over again

Tumble dryers! I hate damp washing hanging up in the house. I love winter, dark cosy nights, plus i prefer winter clothes. And all my Xmas pressies are bought and.wrapped :oooo: x

We don't have room for a tumble dryer. Our kitchen is too small so we have no choice but to use airers etc :(

I hate winter I hate the cold. I found a family who are traveling Asia with 4 yes 4 children under the age of ten, I have just read their blog and that makes me warm inside and out :) what a family :)
Good luck with the laundry :)

You can get washing machines that dry too, Def worth considering when yours next gives up (like mine the other week grrrr) x

I have the same issues and end up putting the heating on just to dry it out. We had a washer dryer before but after a three hour dry they were still damp im on a hill too so it gets very windy and if im not careful I end up chasing it around the garden lol

LOL, I attempted to put the airers outside the other day and half the washing blew off before the airers toppled over. Ended up having to re wash the whole lot

The OH has just invested in a heated airer which should hopefully arrive this week. Apparently take 3 hours to dry a load doesn't do bedding or towels though unfortunately but at least I won't have to go to work in damp clothes.

I did look at getting a washer-tumbler but couldn't find one small enough to fit the gap we've got for our budget. Maybe next time

Sounds amazing....Even with 4 kids lol

I've ended up with a tumble dryer in our spare bedroom.. Trustable soon as you have that lo on the way you'll find a way to make one fit :) i live in Scotland though I'm used to not being able to hang out clothes lol

Dont you have a local laudrette? We have one nearby that charges £2.50 for 30 mins which is more than enough for a big load x

You can get heated airers from Lakeland. They aren't cheap, but they could work if you can't accommodate a tumble dryer - take up a bit of space, but can at least be folded flat and stored when not in use. We really don't have room for a tumble dryer anywhere, so it isn't an option for us. Laundry isn't too much of a problem at the moment as we only do a couple of loads a week, but add a baby into the mix and I'm sure things will be very different - although still no room for a tumble dryer! Think I'm going to invest in one this Winter: http://www.lakeland.co.uk/21736/Dry-Soon-3-Tier-Heated-Tower-Airer

No laundrette here...We have a dry cleaners but that's it. Can't remember the last time I saw a laundrette actually....

We tried a dri buddie (all we could afford) and it broke on the second use so thats gone back...Damp clothes all round :(

We have a hand me down tumble dryer from my mum in our spare room that has a pipe to vent out of the window. That dries a load of towels on double heat in 60 mins. We also have a washer/dryer that dries a load of towels in 100 mins but it gets so hot I wouldn't dare put anything other than bedding or towels in it, as you can't change that one's heat setting.

We already do at least one load a day so our machines will never be off when baby arrives.

I love winter too as it gets rid of all the nasty insects and when it freezes everything gets a clean :) I hate the insects so much I continue to tumble dry all year as I can't risk a bee, wasp or earwig making it's way into my house via my laundry. I once locked myself out of my living room for a whole day cos a wasp flew in and I locked it in there until my husband came home from work.

I also suffer terribly with hayfever so winter is my respite :)
