I think I'm going to buy a doppler after all. Have a look at this:

http://www.retail-therapy.com/ProductDe ... ctCode=269

Have you ever heard of this brand? Has anyone used it? It's much cheaper than the £70 one and I'm very tempted to get it. Any reviews anyone? I'm trying to find some on the internet, haven't found anything yet, still looking.

What do you think?

hi hun, i have this doppler from ebay for about the same price and its fantastic. i heard about them on another website and everyone was praising them. they work from 13 weeks and i last listened 1 week ago and the heartbeat can be heard so well and you can hear baby moving and everything. it is such a great piece of mind and so simple to use. it has two hole so two people can listen in or you can also record from it. i would definately recommend gettin one i listen to my little girl once a week just to check on her and its so reassuring. xxxx

mamanbebe and mothercare have this product too.

heart listener i listed depends on your size, i could find my babys from 23weeks, but im quite small

I used the one from argos, and i never managed to get it working so cant recommend that one, i did think that maybe it was because i'm not the thinnest of girls but lent it to my friend in her pregnancy and she couldnt get it to work either and she's really thin.

hope you find one that works for you, i'd love to have one that woould work for a larger lady if anyone knows of one?

I have this one (in minty green colour). It's wondeful, detected the heart beat at around 9 weeks - love it loads. I bought mine brand new, with a bottle of gel for £25 on ebay....hunt around you'll find it cheaper but it's certainlly a well known/used/trusted brand of doppler.

Hi

I just received my doppler today, brought it off ebay 'BF500C Doppler' and it detected the heart beat straight away. It's got to be one of the most wonderful sounds I think I've ever heard and as this is my 1st pregnancy it's really reassuring, especially as I don't get to see my midwife for another 3 weeks.

Mine cost £25 and would definately recommend it! :cheer:

i can hear babys heartbeat , baby kicking , hiccuping and the sound of the baby in the fluid just as u would lie in the bath with your ears under the water and u lift your hand up and put it down so it hits the water thats the same sound i hear with baby in the fluid inside me with the prenatal listener.

my babys heartbeat if it still works from the site, dont have headset plugged in atm.

if it does still work then thats the heartbeat i recorded with the heartlistener.

Thank you all so much girls!!

I've ordered mine yesterday afternoon after reading the first positive comments from you. :D

Kimheath, Nicola thanks for your feedback! I ordered the minty one too - don't know the gender yet and I liked the minty one more anyways.

Snuggle, thanks for the link - was definitely cheaper than the one I had found.

Annette, yes that's why we decided to buy it after all - can't wait for another 3 weeks until the next m/w appointment! I only hope I will be sensible enough not to use it all day lol :rotfl:

Now that I heard yours enn I can't wait for it to be delivered so that I can hear my LO's heartbeat!

Come on royal mail!

I just got the minty green one from ebay too after reading this!

I wasn't going to but read this and had a look and couldn't resist

yay!!! :cheer:

We got the doppler and we just heard baby's heartbeat! Amazing!!

Took us a while to find it though - got a bit scared there - but it seems we got the hang of it in the end!

I'm so excited! :cheer:

Thank you all for your comments!
