am so gutted :(

my dad has been given a date for his heart op which is smack bang when bumpalumpa is due, I'm so gutted its untrue, they couldn't put it off and that's the soonest they can do it an the hospital is 20 miles away. I'm such a daddy's girl and look after my dad because he has been quiet poorly the past 10 years with cancer and stroke and heart problems and I've always cared for him when he's been discharged and now i cant i feel like I'm letting him down, and while i have full faith that he will get better, and it will go smoothly we we're all hoping they would hold off till October time. But at least a new grandchild will give him something to look forward too after his op and hopefully make his recovery a bit quicker.

awww hun dont b 2 hard on yourself, it cant b helped, im sure your dad wont think your letting him down, he will just want the best 4 u and baby as you do for him, and like you say it will give him something else to focus on. x

Is there someone else that can care for him? He will understand totally that you cant do it!! Maybe you will be 2 weeks late.... or early!! It will deffo give your dad an incentive to get well soon x

awwww thats such a shame, really hope it can go as smooth as for you and Dad and everyone around you.

I think you are spot on though with a little Grandchild on the way that will keep him soooooo positive and hopefully a speedy recovery!
