Am I over reacting?

I fell out with my mom on Saturday. Usually we're really close, but I've been so close to breaking point recently it's untrue.

I can't visit her at the family home because my little sister doesn't like it, my sister is 18 & overdoses at every chance she gets but has openly admitted its because her overdosing 'fixes things' & she only does it when she knows she'll be found as my moms her 'safety blanket' - I'm not disputing the fact she may be very depressed, because I have suffered with depression for many years of my life.

Anyway! I asked my mom if she'd take me to Costco with my OH because I wanted to pick some things up. She said yep, definitely. Until she said 'ill have to ask S if she's okay with it' and I said okay. It annoyed me a little bit that she had to ask permission from her daughter :S later on I got a text saying 'we'll have to wait until S is back at college or out with friends to go to Costco.' She couldn't have come because a member can only take 2 people who aren't members (would have been me and OH) - I finally snapped & told her she's as bad as S for bowing down to everything S does. (There are SO many occasions S has made sure I don't go to my moms house, and my mom really does let S rule her life, to the point where my mother cannot even have a relationship because S made him feel so uncomfortable)

My mom went on to ignore my texts (childish.) and I've just completely felt like she doesn't give a crap. She's not text at all to see how I am & it makes me feel even more shittier because of things that have worried me this week over my baby.

Sorry about the long rant. Just would feel opinions would be helpful. Rather than my one sided opinion.

Hun I would feel the same! My mum only.bothers with me if I say something that she don't wanna hear. Other than that I'm ignored. My sisters r all stuck up with who has the best baby and it pisses me.off!!

My mom sulks whenever I say something she doesn't wanna hear. I love her to bits, but it's like her opinion is the ONLY one that matters.

My sister really runs my moms life & I just know if I treated my mom the way my sister does she'd soon be sulking like a little baby.

It's such a shame when people act like brats though. x

It really is hun. I don't talk 1 of my sisters. We just don't get on at all. Just sometimes think be easier to leave em all alone as I have my own hectic life n don't need to be worrying about theirs x

I really know what you mean, me and my sister just can't see eye to eye either, I've just tried SO hard with her but her attitude is terrible. It's blunt & 'I know more than you' that type of thing.

It's quite sad really isn't it? X

It is sad. My sister for some reason assumes we get everything for free? Dunno how she worked that.one out

Exactly basically coz were in housing association n not a private rented house like she is. That's.it tho. We still have bills to pay. Food to buy and rent to pay x

I'm in council & my friend always says how much more cheaper it is for me & how she has to pay lots makes me feel a little bad, but you can't help where you live!

Just ignore her. You know what you pay for and she can keep her opinions to herself! X
