Alfie is 7 months and for a while now we have the same problems

* Fighting day time naps

*Playing up at food times (solids) Crying, kicking screaming fighting against having food yet after about 3 spoonfuls realizing he loves it and eats it, unless its sweet stuff and then we don't have that problem at all

* Being generally whiney and whingey through out the day where he used to play happily for 20-30 mins alone

* Crying as if he's being murdered when we change his clothes/nappy (Hates wearing clothes)

*shaking his head from side to side whilst sitting up as if he is trying to make himself dizzy.

is this a typical 7 month old ? cos people look at us when were out and family keep saying that's not right he shouldn't be doing that with certain things. Gets me all worried like something is wrong.

my lo is exactly the same!!! literally everything youve described!!!!!!

Sounds about right to me, i currently have a 8 and half month old crying in her cot because she doesn't want to nap!

Charley's just coming out if this except he still fights day time naps. Someone on here said it's to do with something called the wonder weeks although charley suddenly cheered up after 3 teeth came through all in one go!!

Thank god this is normal I thought I was doing summat wrong

Lizzie has times like this at home but as soon as we're out she's really well behaved and everyone says what an easy baby I have HA!
She especially has recently started doing the screaming through nappy changes thing...fine once it's done though!

Morgan does that shakey head thing, sometimes I think he's going to hurt his neck, he laughs cos he thinks its really funny

I wouldnt worry too much hun, this is the age where they start to develop object permanence; being able to think about things they cannot immediately see, so they reaise when youre not there, and theyre not impressed! Before that you just dont exist to them unless they can see you! It shows that his mind is developing.

The babies who are still quite passive at this age are the ones to worry about.

sounds normal and like you have a little chracter there. :)
Owen doesn't do head shaking but he does do 'eye blinking' 'shouting' and general monster noises! attacks cushions and teddies etc!
Screams blue murder for nappy changes and recently having a n ightmare with naps and bedtime. Although naps far worse.

Keep meaning to get a copy of wonder weeks off amazon...sounds interesting.

yes amelia is definetly showing us wht she likes and doesnt lol

Thanks Ladies ... people were saying he might have ADHD and I was like they can't detect that this young surely ? I think people just like to make out Im not a good mom.

 attention skills arent developed at this age at all, he doesnt have ADHD hun. people are complete tits saying stuff like that to a mother!

My LO is exactly the same, he doesn't shake his head side to side tho, I'm sure that will be with us soon tho lol He is going through the hitting his head phase tho, and it doesn't seem to bother him, even though he packs a right punch lol

xxxxx

same here! hehehe. esp the shaking his head thing. Campbell thinks its funny to do it when I am trying to feed him xx
