So 2 years since a mc and no bfp even with an IVF cycle!? We had only been trying for a year before our bfp so we can conceive and did not take ages so why nothing since even with IVF... And stopping drinking, better diet, reflexology, hypnotherapy etc etc and nothing...

Just don't get it!!!

I feel lucky we have had a bfp but frustrated at nothing since.. Makes no sense!!

Has anyone else had a mc a long time ago but then no bfp since ?

Lou x

Hi Lou,
Sorry you are feeling down. We are nearly 14 months post mc now and nothing for us so far either. Sucks doesn't it. It took us quite a long time to get our positive but I really thought that as we had managed it once it would happen again by now. I'm terrified that we will never get another positive and even more terrified of getting one and than having it taken away again. :(

Yep we got our bfp within 3 months of trying now nothing for 2 and 1/2 years!! 7 months of clomid and one cycle of Iui!

Who knows why!

I'm struggling to get my head round why I can't concieve anymore :-(
Started TTC after first AF off the pill July 12
1st bfp Nov 12 - mc at 5 weeks (Nov 12) natural
2nd bfp Jan 13 - mc at 13 weeks (April 13) medical management followed by ERPC for retained placenta
3rd bfp July 13 - mc at 8 weeks (Sept 13) ERPC
4th bfp Nov 13 - mc at 5 weeks (Nov 13) natural
Was still confident at this point that we would catch a good egg as I seemed to fall pg within a couple of cycles each time we tried but then nothing for months.
5th bfp July 14 - mc at 5 weeks (July 14) natural.
Started seeing fertility doc July 14 who done all the testing for recurrent mc and all came back clear. I've just finished 6 rounds of clomid (the doc gave me them even though I ovulate on my own to try and speed things up as I'm 41) and still no bfp!
I'm slowly losing the will to live :-(
I know that my age has a lot to do with it but I just can't shake the feeling that maybe I've been left with scarring or adhesions since having two ERPCs quite close together. I'm back at the fertility doc in September and I'm going to ask if they can have a look at my tubes and uterus to check all is ok. I doubt they will do it though cos they just keep saying it's my age. I'm heartbroken and can't believe that at 41 I'm all washed up :-(

Awww hun. No BFP ever here but just wanted to give you hugs and wish you luck xxx

So sorry to hear! I completely understand though Got a BFP on our first try in 2013 ( early mc ) and here we are over 2 years later and not a single BFP in sight.. only multiple issues ( boyfriend 0% morphology, I have hyperplasia and 2 years older! ).

How could I get pregnant so easily and now nothing!!

None of our stories make any sense!! It's sooo frustrating! Do u think its a bit like the lottery some people are just lucky and all the conditions for baby making is just right at the right time... But why does it seem that this is the majority of people?

I struggle between thinking its me being too desperate for it ( or me protecting myself by thinking negative thoughts about it) to being something wrong with me to thinking its just all about timing and all the conditions will be right one day but who knows when that will be!!

It's not fair that we can't have answers, it's such an emotional roller coaster and my life is not my own anymore!
I bet we will all get there one day... I just wish I knew when!!!

Group virtual hug ladies xx thank u for not letting me feel on my own in this horrible situation xx

Scn u r not washed up look how many bfp's u have had!! It can't be your age because surely if egg quality was an issue then u would not get so many embryos getting as far as they do! Keep trying because one of those will turn into a sticky bean surely! Xx I know 2 people who had 3 mc before they finally got their sticky bean xx

I hope you're right Lou! I'm just having a 'feeling sorry for myself' month as it was my last month of clomid and nada. The clomid was horrible and feel like I've put myself through 6 months of rubbish of nothing :-(
Find myself this morning now that AF is here actually looking forward to a natural cycle without feeling pants!
We've all been on some tough journeys but hoping and praying for a smoother ride for us all with a bundle of joy and happiness at the end of it xx

I got pregnant with Nancy 2nd month off the pill without any problems, lots of alcohol etc, that 6 years ago. One iui miscarriage since but otherwise not a hint of a bfp in 3 years. I know I'm blessed that I have Nancy but I just don't get why we haven't been blessed again. Big hugs ladies xx

It does not make sense Dee does it! And it's so unfair! Why do some people have one child after another with little effort! My brother has 3 children, 6 months, 3 years and 4 years! Xx we need some bfp's to keep us going and give us hope! Xx

Aww, breaks my heart you are so sad. I know you hear this all the time but you are not too old and people much older than you have babies all the time. As others have mentioned the fact you can get pregnant is a good thing ( even thought I understand how heartbreaking it is to mc. )

I have 2 really close friends that got pregnant in their mid 40s. One ( 46 ) gave birth recently to twins and they tried for 4 years so never give up. The other friend will give birth in 2 weeks and she is 45. She had 4-5 mc as well and she was told she did not have any eggs left.

It can happen so don't give up. You seem to have a good egg reserve which is great, age is only a number. Hope you feel better soon.
