Is anybody else more aggressive then they'd usually be???

I've always been one to speak my mind but I'm much worse now than I am when I'm not pregnant. Collected my 2 year old from nursery today and shortly after nearly got into a fight with two black girls who were extremly rude to me but usually I wouldnt of said as much as I did today. I heard them behind me sucking their lips and giving attitude and then one rudely pushed past me and muttered something and I heard them say dog lead referring to my daughters safety reings. So I pipped up excuse me to which one replied oi are you speaking to me to which I replied yes what's with the attitude in which the girl got really aggressive and said she didnt have an attitude she was just stating to her friend that she wouldnt use a dog lead on her child and that she felt sorry for my daughter to which I said it isnt a dog lead it's a safety harness and well it just carried on and on and they got really nasty so I told her to shut it or i'd slap her   I mean OMG that just isnt me but she was stressing me out big time. Fair enough before having my daughter I didnt like the look of safety harnesses or wrist straps for children but since having my daughter and since she doesnt like holding hands but will tollerate safety reings and wrist straps I thnk they're great as they protect your child from running into busy roads and getting run over. this doesnt mean you shouldnt teach your child road safety awareness and we've already started with Joanna but for christ sake you can't expect miracles with 2 year olds and there has been a few occasions where Joanna has tried to run into the road.

So do I need to book myself into anger managerment or are others feeling this too?

When I was in my final weeks of pregnancy I literally hated everyone, I was stuck at home and if anyone called or turned up at my house I would bite their heads off! I even avoided the forum for a while becuase I was just so bad tempered I didn't want to speak to anyone so you are already doing better than I did just by still communicating!
The funny thing is, the minute my son arrived I went totally the other way and suddenly loved everyone and wanted to talk to everyody and have house guests all the time! The hormones do the funniest things to you!!

I avoid driving now because it makes me too angry, theres always people trying to cut me up and i'm actively avoiding a roundabout where people ALWAYS use the wrong lanes!

I'm less agressive generally, and more emotional, like some bloke was givng me filthy looks for doing a turn in the road when it was empty, he came on to it as i was nearlt finished, pulled right up to my car so i couldnt pull away and started making gestures then squeezed his car past mine! I couldnt quite figure out what i'd done wrong, and tbh it made me wanna cry.

I dont blame you getting annoyed at those girls, they're immature little kids attacking your parenting skills when all you're doing is trying to keep your child safe  trust me, as someone who used to get spat at for the school i went to i know just how stupid they can be!

I was going to say that i am not an agressive person and still am not whilst pregnant.. but actually thinking about it i've had a few 'unlike me' moments. Some women walked out in front of our car today (whilst OH was dirivng) with her toddler! Luckily my OH braked in time but all she did was stick her finger up! I was SO outraged! I didn't yell but i did give her a really dirty look - which is TOTALLY unlike me!

I'm exactly the same, I scared myself last week when I confronted & shouted at 3 teenage boys (who were much bigger than me!) who threw chewing gum into my hair.....the rage took over but afterwards I was so shaken!

I think it's a natural instinct to become more agressive to protect our unborn kids xx

Hi,

I'm definately more bad tempered, this morning a woman cut me up in the car park in Sainbury's so I beeped my horn and when I saw her entering the store I said "oi! you nearly took the bloody front of my car of then!" which normally i'd have just let it go. Then last night on the way home a woman was driving so close behind me that I couldn't even see her headlights in my rear view mirror so when we dropped down to the 40 limit from the National limit I naturally slowed down and she started gesticulating (sp?) that I should speed up so I gave her the finger through the rear seats! Terrible I know and unlike me but driving is the main thing that pushes my buttons at the moment. Glad it's not just me!

Driving is the worst!! I tend to try and drive at the speed limit now, partly because of the safety aspect and partly cos i got caught by a camera a few months back and if i get caught again i'll lose my license cos i've only been driving a year. i swear NO-ONE wants to drive at the speed limit! They're always up my ass or trying to over-take.

As for tesco car parks some women obviously pulled in to the space in front of hers to drive out rather then reverse out, but didnt stop to check no cars were coming and nearly drove in to me coming up, they also seem to totally ignore the signs in the cr park, theres a bit you can only go in to but not drive out of that way and its narrowed etc but theres ALWAYS someone coming out of it!

I think everyones a crap driver but me atm!! But this is why i try and avoid driving if possible

OMG you've jsut reminded me of yesterday! i actually nearly kicked my friend out he was being so annoying! After expecting me to make him lunch etc whilst he watched tv (dont think so) he moaned about having too much cheese on his cheese on toast, the bread being too thick and not being pre-sliced, and only ate half of one slice of it! Then he sat and slurped his tea, every single sip was a slurp, i had to tell him to shut up, then he left half of that, wanted a yoghurt and only ate half and left the lid etc just placed places where i would forget it was there.

Funnily enough after the film i was watching ended i made excuses and kicked him out!

He'd also said we were gonns go out somewhere yest day time and i'd got all prepared to go out and when he got here he was like im tired im gonna watch TV!!
