did you wait 6 weeks like your meant to before you drove or not????

No I drove after two weeks.

The main thing you need to be sure of is that you can do an emergency stop i.e. slamming your foot on the brake. If you can't then you are a danger to other road users not to mention yourself.

Also check with your insurance company as some automatically don't insure you after a c section for a certain period of time. Note Tesco insurance said it was fine after two weeks providing your have checked with a doctor (which I had).

no when i went and got the pill at 3 weeks i asked the doc and he was happy for me to as long as i felt ok, i didnt do any long journeys though

no but i did wait 3 weeks and it wasnt totally comfortable then, but it is now

I drove after about a week and a half. I had to go and register Molly and was planning on getting the bus but it was too cold!

I think it takes more effort and hurts more to get the bus! I didn't feel 100% when I first drove but after about 2-3 weeks I felt fine.

i waited 5 weeks and was still uncomfy, and do u know that your insurance is invalid if you drive before 6 weeks

My insurance policy doesn't say anything about c-sections and driving. My sister called her insurance and they said they don't have any rules with regards to sections. I think it depends on the insurance company.

Mine didnt cover me for 6 weeks so it wasnt worth it, I was so chuffed when I got behind the wheel again! FREEDOM!

I checked with my insurance and they said I was fine so long as my doc said so. I went to the doc at 3 weeks (just before OH went back to work) and he said it was fine so I've been driving ever since.

Exactly the same as my insurance company said! There is no actual time contraints, BUT you must be signed fit to drive by your doctor!

Im going to wait another week or so and then call my GP.......

I waited 6 weeks as i was trying to walk places rather than drive. As the others said, make sure you check with your insurance company.
