After pains

I had my baby 4 days ago and my after pains seem worse now than the first 2 days, like really bad period pains do you think it's just normal or a possibility of infection as I has some placenta left over?

Completely normal Hun- I was getting afterpains for a month afterwards. Did u have any pain relief during labour? If so this will be y they seemed to have got worse (as the pain reliefs worn off). If ur breastfeeding they can feel worse aswel xx

i had quite bad after pains and mine got worse before getting better, i never had after pains with my 1st, so when i got them this time i thought that i had an infection, but MW said if i did the pain wouldn't go away it would be there constantly and really intense!.

omg my afterpains were awful! they say you dont get them with your first but the more children you have the worse they become! your sound perfectly normal so dont worry .

I heard they were worse with second too, midwife checked me over yesterday and said that's all it was.

I'm the same, I was so pleased after the birth cause I didn't really have any pain at all but now i'm really uncomfortable. My stomach hurts when I use the muscles to sit up or get out of bed and everything down below feels really bruised and like I've pulled muscles x
