Just wanted peoples advice really, I`m 14 weeks , 2days pregnant and still being sick ,feeling really tired etc. :wall:
I'm thinking about seeing if there is something that can help me but I don't know whether it has to be my g.p. or midwife that I see?
I'm starting to get really worried about my LO , I've been sick nearly everday for the past 7-8 weeks , the nausea is bad. I'm trying to eat really healthily but unfortunately after eating banana's,apples grapes etc. I'm sick not long after , even steamed carrots and broccoli made me sick straight away last night. My diet at the moment consists of mainly cereals, crackers, yoghurts and rice. I just want to give my LO the best nutrition possible and I feel like I'm already a bad mum because It's just so hard to get the right things in and for them to stay down.
I have got a bit of a bump but when I asked my mum if she thought I was starting to show she said "you are just fat" which made me really upset.

Oh charming! It won't be long before you have a proper big baby bump, so don't worry about what other people think. It grows really quickly I promise.

As for the puking, I'd call your midwife for advice, but I'm sure you don't need to worry. Babies get all the nutrients they need as long as you are eating something. Are you taking a vitamin with f/acid? You should be proud that your baby is developing well - they say the hormones and sickness are a sign of a healthy baby.

Hope you feel better soon, it's a miserable feeling sick all the time.

Pea xx

I'm taking pregnacare, but might change to another multi-vit because sometimes the nausea is a bit worse after taking it. Not sure why.
What is everyone else taking?

Do you eat before you take the Pregnacare? as it does suggest you eat a main meal before you take it to prevent nausea.

I had a similar problem with Pregnacare. You're only supposed to take it on a full stomach - which I never had cos I couldn't eat a whole meal. It's something to do with it containing iron. My GP prescribed just folic acid for me - I was much better on that until the sickness faded, then I got my Pregnacare out again. So, maybe you could try folic acid on it's own for a while. Or something that doesn't contain any iron. (My iron levels were good btw, so I had no worries about leaving it out for a while.)

I remember eating not much of anything until about 14/15 weeks - except dry cereal (before I even got out of bed), scrambled egg, toast with jam no butter, rich tea biscuits. What a fab diet! I hated the thought of cooked veg until quite recently. Luckily fancied quite a bit of fruit. Just eat little and often - and eat what takes your fancy.

I use Sanatogen ProNatal and the Omega 3 oil packet (you can just buy the vitamin though, cheaper that way!!) I take it the second I wake up (otherwise I'd forget) and then shower, tidy the bedroom before pottering downstairs for tea and breakfast. It's never made me feel sick and there are no advice lables etc suggesting you have breafast first. Perhaps try those?

As for the "your just fat" comment - ignore it your pregnant, enjoy it!! Bump will soon grow and you'll look even more pregnant in no time! xx

I'm taking an Asda pregnancy supplement and I seem to get on better with that than with the Pregnacare (which also made me feel a bit sick).

You should definitely mention your sickness to your MW as I'm sure there is something they can do nowadays. Try to make sure you get enough to drink so you don't get dehydrated if you are being sick a lot.

 Don't worry you'll soon start showing a definite "baby bump". Just ignore your mum's comment. She was a bit tactless there. :shakehead:

Hi

sorry your feeling so aweful hun, i would agree take it on a full tummy might help you ease the nausia.
Dont listen to other people either hun your not fat you have a gorgeous baby growing inside you and you will have that bump before you know it

It is unlikely you will be given anything for the sickness...I have been sick 2/3 times a day all the way through and only when i have had another illness on top of the morning sickness and got de hydrated have they been concerned.

the adivce i have been given is eat little and often which doesn't help me much..I find if i wait till I am really hungry works better for me...If there are trigger foods just avoid them .

also try the travel sickness bands they have been a miracle cure for some.

hope yours leaves you soon

I really hope your nausea passes real soon babyroo and cloud9
I too take Sanatogen Vits & Omega 3 Oil, and haven't had one day where I've been sick, so would suggest them also, though everyone's different, but best wishes and congratulations on your baby :cheer:

i found eating a ginger biscuit helped my nausea. hope u feel better soon
