Ok so I've just realised that I might not have felt bubs move today. I'm kind of unsure if I haven't felt any movement or if i've been too sleepy / distracted to notice. Was up till 5 am painting (and bubs was awake whole time) so pretty tired today.

So, I need tips on getting the little guy to move before I totally start to panic. I've had a cold drink, an ice lolly and am currently drinking sweet tea and eating some chocolate as these are the things I've heard before. Anything else anyone?

Fizzy drink? And try lying down, going on all fours then lying down in case lo is just asleep.

If in doubt get straight in to be monitored

Sounds like youre doing all the right things.
Maybe you should also call midwife just to be on safe side. they'll listen to heart beat for an hour.
It might be the baby settling down getting ready for labour? but if i were you I'd ring them. Thats what theyre there for.
Post an update to keep us informed.
Hope all is ok

He's got 5mins and I'm calling the maternity unit :(
Completely terrified now as I leant my tea on my bump and still nothing. I usually get an absolute beating for that (probably for burning his bum / willy)
Gonna do some different positions and see if that works

He's moving!
Think I just totally panicked myself for nothing :(

thank god for that! Ive had days like that, and its so scary, such a great feeling when LO does move!

me too, and when the midwife asks you if you've felt 10 movements in 24 hours you just get confused and panicky, as it's not as if you record every single one! but glad to hear all is ok :) xxxxxx

My m/w just usually tells me if his movements are unusual I should ring which is why I was minutes away from calling. My dad's just given me a huuuuuuge lecture though :( I admit for being due in 2 days I probably am doing way too much but I can't sit still! Friday night I did the kitchen top to bottom, a proper scrub, then gutted the bathroom. Saturday I literally moved everything out of the living room and scrubbed the floor, skirting, etc then cleaned all the furniture before moving it back in. And last night dad was down painting once Eva was in bed and I didnt get to bed till 5am and was back up at 7.30. Dad says I'm under strict orders to have a bath (Do I smell???) and be in bed by 11pm latest
Although I do have a sweep tomorrow so probably a good idea just in case

i was told to clean the skirting boards to get Riley in right position!! wish i was told to have a bath, lol! everyone was trying to get me out walking to bring my labour on the meanies!! bless about all the cleaning you've done, proper nesting there me thinks :D xxx

Deffo nesting  I've been like this for weeks now though :( Scrubbing the floor on all 4's turned my lil man a few weeks back when he was breech lol. Walking is the only thing I can;t do alot of as my pelvis is really sore (more pubic bone today) but I wish I could. I feel lazy if I've been sitting doing nothing for too long. Totally out of character as I was a bit of a couch potato before

I wish i'd start bloody nesting! I've got NO energy at the moment and I keep snapping at EVERY little thing OH does wrong...poor sod! It's Tri 1 all over again (minus the morning sickness! :yay:)

You're OH deserves it. Think about it. He got all the fun of actually making the baby and you have to do EVERYTHING else. The least he can put up with is some mood swings :D

Considering it only took us a few weeks to conceive he's really had the sh*tty end of the stick then hasn't he?! Haha!

He puts up with it well - he's not one to complain, he just lets me get on with it! Seriously though, EVERYTHING he's doing at the moment is driving me up the wall! lol! I feel awful! Meh, nevermind - 6 weeks and it'll all be over!
