Ive just been told hat a young guy at work has hired a car this weekend.
I know for a fact he has no licence and therefore no insurance. He is rumoured to have hired the car on someone elses id.

I was thinking of calling the rental company to tell them, i feel bad about doing it, but have this niggle in the back of my head that if an accident happened id feel even worse because i knew about it.
Whats your views

I would just double check my facts were 100% correct before I'd consider doing anything, as you could really make some trouble for this guy.
You said yourself he is 'rumoured' to have hired the car on someone elses id. Are you totally sure he has no licence, could he have not got if recently without your knowledge?
If its true, then yes you should report him guilt free!

Defintely! report him - imagine him crashing into a car where theres children.........

Im not 100% on my facts, he could have passed his test last week for all i know.
Just not sure what to do for the best.

I dont want to get him in trouble, but if he is putting others at risk maybe i should say something, just dont know what ???????

I used to work for a car rental firm and to hire a car from us you had to be over 21yrs and have held a license for 6mths and it had to be clean.

I would defo report him!!!

If you are sure he has no licence or insurance then he is breaking the law, so yes you should report him.

I've just had a thought hun! Do you know the name of the other persons ID he has used??
Otherwise how will you report him if he hasn't used his own name?! But if you ring up and he's hired it in his own name then he must have a licence. Maybe? There must be some flaw in my logic! :rotfl:

I would say report him, if its not true and he has a license then nothing will happen to him but at least ya know ya did the right thing!!! but if it it true and he crashes and kills someone then thats a totally different story all together!!! at the end of the day he wont know who has reported him!!
