Advice on period please !!!

For the last few months it takes nearly a week for my period to start properly. I get a bit of blood when wiping on first day then it goes of a bit more for quite a few days and then i get a really heavy period quite suddenly at about day 5 or 6 !!
The period then continues to be heavy for about another week..............

This has only been the case for the last few months !!

Any ideas on why this has started to happen ???

Hmm, i'm wondering if it's actually mid-cycle bleeding but because it joins onto when you get your actual period (full flow) that you think it's your period taking a long time?

It could very well be a symptom of endometriosis as it is one of those things that can develop over time.

It could be hormonal too.
