Argh :wall: Just had a call from my Mum and she and her colleagues have all 'decided' that I should ring the midwife to tell her about losing my mucus plug. For the last few weeks I've been having a brownish/yellow discharge which doesn't smell or anything, it's got a bit heavier the last few days..I was having quite bad back pain the other night and alot came out then. I've just assumed it's the plug and I know that some ladies' plugs go all at once and others' can take a while and come out gradually..so I've not mentioned it to my Midwife, but my Mum thinks there's something wrong..I really don't want to ring the Midwife and bother her with this, does it sound to you like everything's okay? Just want a bit of confirmation, really! Thanks guys :)

 Thats what she is there for. Better than worrying which is more stress. Could be something or nothing.

Mine just dropped out all in one go, and I had no idea about a plug (read about it but never reached my brain) I called my midwife straight away, she just said it was a show, I thought "well it wasn't a good show, where were the dancing girls!" Trust me call them, they are used to it!

I don't think they'll do much tbh if you ring, they say you can loose it for weeks before, now if it was your waters

That's the thing, I'm not worried about it..My Mother is  I don't think she had anything like this with all 3 of her pregnancies. It's definately not my waters because the discharge is mucus-like. Argh..Mums..I wonder if anyone else's discusses their daughters' mucus in the office

I'm just gonna say I phoned the Midwife and she said it's normal.. :) Thanks guys

This is my 5th and i've never lost my plug like i am now...exactly in the way you are describing.....I have spoken to MW and she says its normal

they only say you should inform them if its a bloody show and your before 37 weeks.

last time my plug was different, this time im loosing loads of straw coloures stretchy stuff, and MW said it could be my plug but last time was more jelly like :rotfl:

I don' t know if I am losing the start of m y plug or just have increaed discharge. After I go to the loo I am seeing a kind of thickish (but not overly thick) yellowish discharge that has no smell or anything. It's been happening since yesterday?

yeah mine is like that too, but some times i get like lumps of clear jelly, like u get when u break an egg open :rotfl: such a nice thought
