Advice needed

Charley won't settle unless hes being cuddled by me which is making it very hard for me to get on with things. If i put him in his moses basket, he screams, if i put him in his bouncer, he screams and same with car seat!!
It's really hard when i've got lace to look after too.
Tim's home tonight so i've been trying to get him used to his moses basket today as he's been sleeping in my bed since birth and Tim doesnt want him too but everytime i put Charley in the basket, he's fine for 15mins then goes mental.
What should i do?

oh hun that sounds so exhausting

Could you put the moses basket right next to your bed so you can literally have your hand on him so he is comforted that youre there? I dunno just an idea.

Morgan got a bit like that when he had colic, I ended up putting him in the sling so that I could get on with hoovering and dusting, he slept really well in that, but it made doing the housework doubly exhausting! Probably wouldnt solve the problem long term either.

The Moses basket is right next to our bed, he just seems to want comfort all the time! He's asleep in his basket now and it's been 20mins which I think is a record! Hope it helps with tonight!!

He's still asleep!! Yay!! He's been in there 45mins now! Hope he settles in there tonight!

how is he now hun? I would try putting your top or something that smells of you in with him.. Perhaps the smell will comfort him.

I tend to lie Drake kinda on his side a little bit when I put him down. I know your not supposed too but he sleeps better that way..oh and he hates being swaddled so I leave his hands free.

He's still asleep!! Been asleep for 1hour and 20mins now!! I keep telling lace to sshhh though so he's not disturbed!!
My sil said about putting the top I'm wearing today in there so he can still smell me. Will try it later now 2 people have mentioned it! x x

Oh wow, well done! It's deffo a start and now he's had a taster hopefully he'll feel more settled in there as time goes on.

Try rolling a towel up and putting it in a u shape round his head and shoulders under his bed sheet! Just helps them feel a bit more secure and snuggly!

He woke up after 2and a quarter hours in his basket but now I've fed and changed him I'm back to cuddling him!! Nooo

Aww cuddles are the best bit! I cuddle mine for about 15 mins and then put him down. That should give him enough time to get into a deeper sleep and not get too disturbed by me moving him. Really hope he goes down nice for you tonight hun! xx

Charley slept in there all night!!! He woke up every 4hours for a feed and went straight back down!! Thanks for the advice, I put my top in there and rolled up a blanket! Also decided to put a limit on cuddle time even for visitors as I think he's getting to used to cuddles then falling asleep in their arms!
