Advice needed: why are men so frickin awkward!

hey ladies,
brians mum is gettin married on 10th august, and i need something to wear. i want to wear a dress thats fancy but not too fancy if you know what i mean?it will only be for a quick registry office wedding and then a meal afterwards. but i wanted something nice as i never got to wear a dress to my wedding and we can get some nice pictures of us all dressed up now that the little one is here.

well the problem is, brian is wearing a very dark grey suit with a blue tie and blue shirt, i wanted to be fairly matching but i dont suit blue (im a redhead with really pale skin) argh why cant he just wear a white shirt men!
anyone got any ideas of what i can wear, or seen any nice dresses recently?

Could you perhaps get away with a deep purple dress.

You could go with silver..? I don't know where to get dresses from as I get most of my stuff off ebay..

suz his shirt is light blue and the tie is sort of medium&dark blue.
shell silver is a good idea i never thought of that .

Or you could go with a colour that compliments his without necessarily matching it. A couple of shades lighter than burnt orange, for example. Or a lovely chocolate brown.

if you want a really really nice dress I would go to to coast in debehams, they do the most beautiful dresses in lovely creams, that would be my first choice!
