LO normally kicks really hard all the time, but lately he hasn't been doing it as much or as hard. I can't remember if this is normal towards the last 10 weeks?

He's still kicking so I know he's OK, but he just seems less active :(

Mine has been less active too! Hadn't felt any really good kicks over the past few days but last night when I got home from school and sat down, it went mad!! Think it may have been because I was busy again after going back to work after the summer holidays.

The notes i have from the midwife say "Patterns and types of movements often change between 28 and 32 weeks. Frequent jerky kicks and movements increase. Periods of continued movements or sleep may last longer"

Thanks for that Kylie, feel abit better now!!! How you getting on anyway?!! Not long now :) I bet you give birth first!!!

I'm still very well thanks - got heartburn remedies scattered around the house and a very achy pelvis area (esp when I turn in bed! which is also getting harder with growing bump - will have to get OH to push / pull me over shortly!)! Feel as if I've been pregnant forever now..not long though - only 10 weeks! I don't think mine will come till December - I think about the 5th - not too hopeful that it will come on its due date!

How are your aches and pains - did you get something for your SPD?

babies do tend to move less and less as they have not much room to move about.
dont worry about it,
when im worried about movements i eat some chocolate to get him moving a bit

our LO's are going through quick growth spurts, they won't move as much through this, also, remember, the baby is getting bigger and there will be less room for your LO to move.

When you are walking or moving about or tense, your LO can not move either, so just sit back, relax and try not to worry xxx

Yeah I went to the physio who gave me exercises, and Eve very kindly sent me a pregnancy belt. I am going back Monday to get some crutches for when its really bad! So the pain is slightly more bearable but still very painful :? !

Wow really bad if you need crutches!!! It can't be easy having a lively 5 yr old indoors either when you're achy!

I was just eating my lovely lovely Carte D'or Greek yoghurt with honey ice cream...and remembered that on Weds when I went to parentcraft classes the midwife suggested that if baby's not moving much, to knock back a really cold drink because the coldness shocks it into moving again - or you could try ice cream because the sugar and coldness work together. Any excuse eh!?

Frangelle, did the physio give you a tubigrip? I wear tubigrip and support belt during the day but if I'm having a painful day I also wear the tubigrip to bed at night - it helps!

My lo's movements have eased up over the last few days too. Not that it was ever particularly active. Last night i got out the doppler - that made it move , it hates it!!

She suggested I get a pregnancy belt and gave me crutches today for when its really bad. I haven't heard of a tubigrip  what is it?!!!

prob because LO is running out of room in there. it is normal for movements to lessen at this stage

A tubigrip is an elasticated tubular bandage, normally they are for knees, wrists etc but midwives give them for pelvic support. Ask your midwife for one, they are incredibly sexy!!! not!!!
