Abandoned car outside my house!

Yesterday a couple left there broken car outside our house, never told us about it or anything and its still here. Does anyone know who we need to contact about getting it moved?

when I lived in UK the local council had a policy for removing abondaned cars BUT they would never do anything about them. anyway we were told by the local councillor that if they are 'wrecked' and abandoned then they would be moved within 24hrs!!! and so 'unoficially' he advised to give it a flat tyre or 2 and maybe have a smashed window!!!!! mysteriously this happened , reported it to council and police and SURPRISE it was removed!!!!! or the other thing is if you have any yellow lines etc then can the car 'move' onto these?, like at end of road etc????????

Has it broke down and they're coming back to repair it or have they actually abandoned it??
If they're just left it then your council website should have an 'How do I report an Abandoned Car/Vehicle?' page.

I called the police after i wrote this post and just now the owners seem to have just turned up to move it. Funny thing is they have moved it about a meter and are sat in the middle of the road not moving again.

OH thinks the clutch has gone on it

The odd thing is i think they only live a few houses up so i cant understand why they didnt push it up there in the first place or at least let us know that they would be back for it.

oh no, this happened to us a few yeras back, a white escort was left in front of our house for ages, the positioning of the parking looked like it had been dumped, so i reported it & then the owner turned up & drove it away!!!!

me & my boyf used to live in Salford and his car got broken into about twice a week! (if u kno the area u'll understand why)
when his car broke down he left it parked at the top of the street, and piece by piece it disappeared! first the radio and windows went, then the battery, then the seats and the wheels! the husk of the car remained for a few weeks until that disappeared too!
