Today I was reading my local guardian and a local business man has been named and charged with keeping sado-masochistic images of child sex abuse on his computer. It shocked me that they have named him and they have even printed the name of the road he lives on. I logged on to the guardian website so I could show you all the article but I couldn't find it but found this instead.....

What are your thoughts on it?

Name and shame them all.

they dont deserve "human rights".

Even when anominity is granted you usually still know who it is anyway.

My stepdad sold seafood in pubs in the billboard for the local newspapers was

"seafood seller facing child sex charges"

there was ONE seafood seller locally, so didnt maintain anominity, of him.

He pleaded guilty so there's no doubt he did this. I think it is right that he is named. I feel for his children but I think the parents of children who live around him or who know him have the right to find out.
I can't imagine how I would feel if my children had ever stayed over at his house (sleep over with his daughters) or if he had ever looked after them for me :puke: :puke: :puke: :puke:
He didn't just own the child porn, he was making it too.

omg what road Lou????

The bloke that was named and had his address printed was in worcester park hun but I couldn't find that article online so the arcticle I posted the link to was something else I found that I thought might interest the forum.

Don't worry

I can agree with wanting to protect his children, imagine how their lives will be affected by this.

But I also think the public has a right to know.

Saying that I think the authorities should come down hard on anyone who attempts to victimise his children they are innocents just like the victims and should be protected.

Wouldnt it be easier if they just put perverts "to sleep"

I totally agree with you.

On the one hand I agree that people like this should be exposed, there is always going to be somebody to 'teach them a lesson'... On the other hand the authorities have to walk on eggshells sometimes so as not to sent them 'underground' which many paedos have threatened to do if they were to be named and shamed and would be alot more dangerous and could potentially lead to more cases of missing children.

Personally I think they should be fed to hungry sharks...

My thoughts are he shouldnt have been named or his address printed, he should have been put away and people in jail deal with him, his children will now be accused of it and beaten and called alsorts and i think they have enough to live with knowing what their father was up to.

I agree with this....but only because he has children, and for the same reasons as you. If there are no children to be bullied/harassed/humiliated then im all for naming and shaming.

In fact I was told by a neighbour once, when my kids were tiny, that the house next door had 3/4 convicted and released peado's living there. I moved out pretty soon after but in the meantime one of them knocked on my door offering me a bag of bread rolls. If I hadn't of known what he was....well it doesn't bare thinking about.
