a little advice please

hi i'm new just found this site thought it looked very good to talk to someone! i have a few symptoms of pregnancy:- tender breasts with nipples that stick out all the time!! feeling sick occassionally. my period was due tommorrow 19th but have light bleeding today. did test this morning got a positive did another at lunchtime got negative. any feedback much appreciated

Sounds promising! In fact I would say CONGRATS!

What pregnancy tests were you using? Did you read the result within 10 minutes?

Your sample in the afternoon may of been diluted. It is adviced to test with your first mrning water as you did when you got a positive result. First morning urine is considered the ideal sample as it contains the most concentrated presence of hCG.

False positives are very rare!

thanks everyone for you're response. i used a boot's digital that gave a positive then a 1st response that was negative. the light bleeding has got heavier today just like a period and did another test this morning, 1st response, negative. it dosen't look like my turn yet!! i must be rare to get a false positive!

The digital result was 'pregnant'??

No signs of AF (period) yet?

Its very rare if known at all to get 'pregnant' on a digital & not be!

i'll give it a couple of days and try again with the same test and see what happens. just seems strange.. is it possible to still have af and be pregnant? my nipples are still erect which is unusual in this type of heat!

It is possible to have periods and still be PG, a few women do.......but test again in a couple of days!

thanks again to everyone. i'll use the same test in a couple of days. the bleeding seems to be getting lighter again so never know. my breasts are really veiny and nipples still hard. this is soooo confusing i'll let you know how i get on
