8 weeks and 4 days to go !!!!!!!!

Anyone else due around this time?? I'm nervous as hell !! Everyone keeps asking "are you excited" and I am BUT i'm so scared too.

I'm petrified of the labour,,,,,,,

tearing/ripping
pooing
the pain
my oh watching it all

im scared but also ecxited. im not too bothered about hubbie seeing it all, he is quite chilled out. more worried bout being a parent and hoping ill adapt to it allright!! im very excited bout meeting little one. im still working at the moment but think i will have more time to think about things once i finish on xmas eve. hope u start to feel better bout things but its natural to be a bit aprehensive.xx

I dont feel organised either, my partner has just started painting the nursery 2 days ago, he's still to paint the one wall we are painting white. We are also wanting to get laminate for the nursery instead of the carpet that's in it. Still need to get shelfs, drawers, cupboard for the room. I've got the curtain pole and curtains lol !

Still need a bag for hospital for me and baby, still need to get things for me for hospital and for when baby is home. He just say's "we have plenty time yet" ,, no we dont !! It's only just over 8 weeks to go !! We need to get a move on lol

My OH always says "we have loads of time" so I took matters into my own hands and dis everything myself! I decorated on my own, it was actually quite therapeutic. And I've packed both mine and babys hospital bags, I went through it with OH but he didn't really listen! So hopefully he will understand when the midwife says "pls can I have a nappy, a vest and babygro" lol he's gonna be like "what are they?" lol!
I mainly used stuff I had in the cupboards to pack it so I didn't sped much, and go in boots to get maternity pads an stuff as I collect points! Got to get some more maternity pads and disposable knickers and then I'm done packing.

As for anxieties, I have major hang ups about labour too! I am terrified of tearing or needing a cut, I'm just hoping Incan do it without any of these problems. I also worry about generally going into labour and not knowing what the hell to expect.

I am not fussed about OH seeing it all, they don't necessarily have to see much, which is my comfort. But I worry he's just not going to bond with the baby for some reason I say to him "you'll be looking after her while I have my bath or shower" and he said "no I'll just put her in the for thing they give you" which really upsets me because I want him to wan to hold her. We shall see I guess! X

Marianne - I had all the same sort of worries about labour when I was at your stage, but trust me, once you go overdue you really stop caring!
I would happily poo on my OH's head if it meant I got my baby today Seriously.

Im scared but looking forward to meeting him now, im so uncomfortable I want him out. Ive got 5 weeks to go but got a feeling he'll come early. Ive no experience with babies, never changed a nappy or anything so my main worry is how im gonna cope n worried ill screw up or something. I keep thinking my labour will be horrific n worrying but he's got to come out somehow so i just keep telling myself just go with it.

only thing im worried about is tearing or needing to be cut, oh and peeing after the birth - OUCH!!!!!
my OH has sen it all before ( including the poo lol) so he'll be fine.
