8 weeks, advice please

I had a lot of the 'not feeling pregnant at 8 weeks plus. Really freaked me out as my symptoms seemed to be going. All was fine. I should have enjoyed the 'feeling normal' rather than freaking out, but it is totally normal to worry.

I must admit I've been worrying a bit, never thought I'd be happy to feel sick. Strange how the feelings come and go. Wish all women experienced the same, you hear so many stories of what's normal and what's not x

They are known as reassurance scans for a reason. Take advantage of it. You'll feel great after seeing your baby.

I had no symptoms with my first at all, i was paranoid by the day of our 12 wk scan it wouls be blank and nothing there, but there was a little person:)

This time, im 8wks tomorrow, i felt sick from 6-7 weeks and didnt even findout we were expecting until 7 wks, i was convinced my mind was playing tricks on me, but no, we got a BFP and alltho i feel queezy this time each pregnancy is different i guess!

Domt panic as like others have said, itcwont change things, enjoy Monday will be fab! X

Hope all goes well today, what a lovely gift for your OH

Happy to help out with Irish names too, if you'd like. Hubby and I are both Irish, and our boys have very old names - Riley (Raghallach) and Malachy (Maeleachlainn). We gave them the Anglicised spelling to make things easier as we now live in England. This next baby will be Lorcán. There's loads of Irish names to choose from for both boys and girls :)

I really know where you're coming from. The only symptoms I've had since testing positive have been sore nipples, slightly more hunger and the odd cramps. For the past 2 days I have absolutely nothing apart from sore nipples. I am not complaining as I know it was around 8 weeks before when I got nausea but it does make you think 'is anything actually happening in there' xx cant wait to hear about scan tomorrow

Thanks for all your kind words ladies  the scan went really well. Very emotional. It's measuring exactly right for 9wk 4 days which is what I'd thought. Lovely strong heartbeat and we got a little wave.

oh my gosh that's wonderful! how amazing and treasured is the gift of life? 9 weeks and already looks like a mini person. SO happy for you xx

Thank you! I think I'm still slightly overwhelmed by it, I still can't believe it's in there x

I remember my 12 weeks scan..... she was moving around like no tomorrow and actually sliding up and down in there but I couldn't feel a thing. Magical xx

Hi Carly I remember you from the TTC boards and your story of conceiving in dublin! Im Irish myself :-). Glad to come across this thread about your early scan and to see pictures, how wonderful for you!

I got BFP last week and have been deliberating whether to get an early scan so this has helped my decision (if i dont get one on NHS), there is no value on reassurance! Xxx

Congratulations!! I'd definitely recommend one, 12 week scan seems soooo far away! My OH is part Irish, the family are thrilled we conceived in Dublin lol. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months xx
