Hi Ladies, I'm 7 weeks pregnant today and was woken up early this morning by the first period type cramps I have felt in pregnancy, which has really freaked me out. The pain went within 30 second or so and wasn't excruciating or anything but it has really worried me. I haven't felt anything all day but this evening I have more of a dull period pain. I've heard about people having cramps very early in pregnancy when the egg is implanting, but it seems a bit odd to be experiencing these pains for the first time now unless something is wrong! I have a scan on Friday but was just looking for some reasurrance, if anyone has experienced the same and everything has been fine please? xx

I've experienced this at the start and through out my pregnancy, according to the Doctors it's fine. It's best not to worry or stress as that'll cause more harm than good. I hope you're ok and not worrying too much, call the Doctors if that puts your mind at ease xx

I had lots of mild period type cramps/pains up until 10 weeks I think, it made me nervous every time but they went and then a week later came back so I got used to them xx its a good sign Hun means everything is stretching growing xxx

Ah, thank you ladies, that's really helpful. I'm not stessing too much, just a little emotional! It's just so horrible that it's feels so much like period pains, it makes me feel like I am going to start bleeding any minute xx

Hi unicorn im exactly the same! Ive got cramping and a dull ache under my ribcage. I havent had any scans yet so im not too sure how far along i actually am xx
Hope ur keeping well tho & please dont worry x

Thank you Hopejoy, I'm ok, how are you doing? Do you have a date for your first scan? xx

Ahh just seen this year after I've responded on the July thread, sorry xx

Hey, sounds pretty 'normal' I had lots of new and unusual aches and pains. Everything is adjusting, stretching and more sensitive. You're/we're bound to pick up on any little thing and everything will be put down to the pregnancy! I remember my gp saying that to me. She said 'if 3 eyelashes fall out at the same time you'll put it down to the pregnancy!' Guess it was her way of telling me to relax and stop looking for things!
I can remember freaking coz I had tummy pains, turned out it was wind! Xx

Im keeping fine thanks xx i go on Tues for an early scan i think im about 5/6 weeks but could be more as my last period was only one day brown spotting. How far along are you? X

I'm 7 weeks today, so hoping to see a heartbeat on Friday :-) xx

I have had some AF type cramps as well and at first i was sure i would find blood when i went to toilet but never came. Have heard its the uterus streching or something to prepare for the baby? Xx exciting with the scan!

I think what is bothering me the most is that I haven't had them all along, they have only just started!? xx

How are you feeling today.
I'm feeling pretty crampy myself today too and I'm 7 weeks tomorrow.

Ooh so it's your scan tomorrow ... can't wait to see a pic ... mine is on Tues when I'll be 7+4 ... can't wait
xx

I'm feeling ok thank you Mel, haven't felt any cramps today but I'm worrying a bit about the scan. Have your cramps just started or have you been feeling them from the beginning? How are you feeling other than that? I'm being sick on average 4 times a day at the mo, but other than that I'm good :-) xx

Mine have started today - I was quite stressed at work tho) and they are pretty uncomfortable at the moment ..... feeling really scared.

My only symptoms are tiredness and hungry all the time and occasionally needing to pee more.
I'm really scared xx

Ah sweetheart, try not to worry. I've been reading loads and apparently it's completely normal to experience cramps around now as your uterus is expanding. The best thing you can do for your little bub right now is try to relax. Will the fertility clinic see you earlier if you're worried or coud you contact the EPU for an early scan? xx
