7 week scan

Just over 4 weeks now, when I phoned the docs to see what to do next, she booked me in for 21st Feb at the docs surgery and was talking about the/a nurse doing lots of paperwork and I wasn't sure if she said scan or not ?
Is it usual to scan at the docs, and is it normal to be so early at 7 weeks? Just hoping for that first scan picture so we can announce to the family that we are finally expecting
Didn't want to phone back and ask her in case I sounded like a div, so I'm posting on here and sounding like a div anyway

No they dont usually scan you at the doctors and usually not that early either unless you have a history of mc's etc! Usually if its your first midwife appointment you kinda just fill in lots and lots of paper work, get weighed, bloods taken etc xx

It's all just alot of paper work, BP and height and weight x
