Hi Guys, our lil miss is just over 7 months old, has two front bottom teeth (ouch that day they appeared!), can roll, trying to crawl and trying to coast)...she is doing ever so well and have kind of used trial an error with regards to upping her meals and dropping bottles but just wanted to see if anyone else has similar routine....

7ish - I wakeup
7-8am - she wakes
7.30/8am - first bottle 6-7oz drunk
9-9.30 brekkie - porridge/weeatabix with 3oz of her milk some of ours
11.30/12ish - second bottle 5-6oz
12.30/1ish lunch - yoghurt, cheese & ham sandwich, something from our tea night before mashed, fruit, biscuit maybe
3.30/4ish tea - mainly vegetable based but start with 1/2 rusk mixed with her milk (1-2oz) (did this when weaning off the 3/4pm bottle)
5.30 - final bottle - 5-8oz
6.30 bed
7pm asleep

She has also recently dropped her 3rd nap as was doing 9ish/12ish and 3ish but she kept fighting final nap so kept her awake longer in morning gradually by 15/20mins over the course of a week and now has 10ish and 2ish nap and is fine til bedtime...

about a week ago we dropped the 3ish bottle and 4 weeks prior the lunchtime one which was 2wks after introducing teatime....she has been on 2 meals per day for approx 2months. Her weight gain is gradual but consistent so confident she is getting enough, I chose to drop the 4pm bottle as felt she was eating/drinking too much in last 2hrs of the day and she only took 4-5oz of both bottles....

I guess what Im trying to figure out is is it ok to have lunch then tea couple of hrs apart without a bottle in between? I feel that if I offered a 3pm bottle then did tea at 5ish she would have had milk too early before bed and surely the bedtime bottle is the last one to go? A lot of ppl I see have tea 5ish and bedtime bottle 7ish but she doesn't stay up that late...It took me a while to gradually increase the time between bottle and meal as didnt want her to be too hungry but think she is slowly adapting to this and its not affecting her night sleep/weight so must be doing something right lol...

As a ftm this weaning/dropping bottles thing has been very much suck it and see and sometimes a bit scary as you are constantly watching them at night to see if they can 'get thru' as her milk qts dropped significantly at one point and was concerned she wasnt getting enough but I realise that yoghurt/cheese etc contains a lot of what she needs too and she loves those foods lol...

Oh and on a side note, she has had her new teeth for a week now and its hilarious watching her attack some finger food then act all surprised when she actually chomps a bit off! Bless her, she has to learn how to eat all over again lol...

I wouldn't over think it too much. If she is happy then go by that. My daughter (two weeks younger than yours) has four 7oz bottles a day. Her routine is loosely like this.

08:30: 7oz bottle
09 00: Weetabix and yoghurt
Play and hopefully nap.
12:30: 7oz bottle
13: 00: Finger food lunch - sandwich/cucumber/banana (whatever is around!)
Play and hopefully nap
1530: 7oz bottle
Play
1730: Tea - Whatever we are having at tea time either in finger food format or mashed.
18: 00: 8oz bottle and bed

Your girl is doing well not to have a bedtime bottle though. That's usually the last bottle to go!

Yup, teething is not fun. My daughter has four teeth now and she is not napping lately which usually signals her feeling a bit off so I reckon the next two are wanting to appear soon too. Grrrr.

Lily drinks 4-5 5 Oz bottles a day with 3 meals. She won't drink anymore than 5oz as she has severe reflux. Her routine is
5.30 am 5 Oz bottle
6.00am weetabix / porridge
9.00 am sleep
10-11am wake and play
11.30am lunch
12.30pm. 5oz bottle
1-1.30pm sleep
2-3 pm wake and bottle
4.30pm tea
5.00pm bath and pj's
5.30pm 5oz bottle
6.00pm bedtime
8-9pm wakes for bottle but falls back to sleep every now and then.

We wake so early due to getting ready for work routine. My health visitor said lily only needs a minimum of 500mls of milk a day which is included in foods and milk you use for foods. Which is around 4 6oz bottles obviously they can drink more. I worried about her not getting enough milk as she's not a consistent weight gainer due to being prem. I think what your doing is absolutely fine hun. It's hard first time round as there's no comparison but then again my son was the complete opposite to lily so still can't compare lol! Xxx

Thanks guys its just nice to compare with others sometimes lol...Yeah I knew that 500-600ml was the minimum but when she went from 700 to 500 over a day was concerned lol but she defo is eating enough solids...I offer her tea earlier than us due to bedtime and the fact we dont have our tea til after she's in bed (around 7ish)...The fact that she can do through til 8am sometimes is interesting as it means I have less than 12hrs waketime for her to get what she needs but she's also awake less time so presumably wont take as much anyway...

Been to docs to get something prescribed for her neck rash (occured day after teeth and seems to be getting worse) its strong stuff though cant be on it longer than a week lol...finger foods seem to agitate it as had one day without where she was spoonfed and seemed to help but she likes her finger food lol...oh well hopefully this cream will clear it up!

Rooster - four teeth wow - still cant get over the two she has now...so grown up sitting by herself now and of course now getting her teeth brushed lol...bless em...

Interesting to see.

My little one still eats during the night (midnight, 4am), so we start our day with porridge rather than a bottle as he doesn't wake up hungry.
