Hey all......

HELP!!!

Amber has turned into a little beast when its bed time, something she has been so good at....since she started teething she is a pain. Sometimes it is taking up to 2 hours to get to sleep!!! Thankfully tonight it was only 40 minutes, but she cries the house down screaming sometimes and really kicking her legs the naughty girl!! Do you think its just want for our attention, i mean the first few times when she was teething we took into our bed for comfort and she would instantly drop off..

I dont want to go down this road, so stayed strong tonight and let her cry it out, anyone else had this?

Thanks u

HIya,

Ash is a similar age. He's not been too bad at bedtime itself, but during the night he has turned into a bit of a monster since teething! He wakes quite a lot for no apparent reason. Last night we were up trying to settle him from 2.30 till 3.30 when I eventually gave up and breastfed him.

He shouldn't be hungry as he's just gone to 3 meals a day plus enough milk so I don't know what's going on. I was getting used to my sleep!

Hi there! Yes, my little one has recently started doing the same...Bed time routine was something (or the only thing) that always worked really well. But since a week ago, she started being really difficult after her bath: crying, screaming as soon as she sees the cot, kicking....Last night it took as an hour to settle her, night before that 2 hours...God knows what will happen tonight :wall: :wall:
That said, she's been sleeping fine during the night (waking at 6am) so I am not sure it's teething. I've read that it could be separation anxiety...
Or it could be connected with them getting ready to crawl, getting excited about it and wanting to practice it all the time? I know, I am clucthing to straws :D
Whatever it is, I am glad that you posted this - it means a lot knowing that we are not the only ones!

Oh good i am not alone in this!!!

I dont know what it is, but she plays happily downstairs and when its bed time which you can tell she is generally ready for as we get the rubbing of eyes and not moving very much she turns!! I am hoping tonight will be a bit easier.

She turns over in her cot and starts kicking so i think there may be some truth in the wanting to practice crawling, but she doesnt do it very often downstairs lol!!!

Fingers crossed for tonight x

how was last night???

I took amber to bed 15 minutes after she started showing signs she was tired and boy did it work, straight to sleep no arguements, i nearly fainted..

fingers crossed for tonight, although she is home today not nursery and i cant tire her out like they do :rotfl:
