7 days overdue!

Hi all,

This is awful I am 7 days over and am looking at being induced next week on the 20th.. it is like noooo....

Had my sweep yesterday, had some bleeding and what looked like a browny sticky substance (tmi) and I thought, yay my plug. Today I am all dried up again ... I didn't want to be induced!!

I am apparantly 'dilated 1cm' but that is as far as it is at the moment, even the pain has subsided a little... period like pains are on and of, a little worse then what they were, but not a massive change.. am so fed up of being fat now and just want to get on with things and the baby doesn't seem to want to come out ...

baby will come when its ready, my aunt and a mate of mine were both two weeks overdue and had to be induced too

And don't forget that you actually can refuse to be induced as long as your placenta is still working and baby is healthy! They'll increase monitoring to every 2 days or so but you can say that you'd like to wait for nature to take it's course - and it will eventually!

I don't know if I'd have the patience to say no though, I want my little girl out already and I'm not due for another 12 days!

Good luck and try to keep moving around, bounce on a ball if you have one and sleep and keep hydrated as much as poss - it could be anytime now!!!

How's things now Merfairy? Hope things will move on for you and you won't have to be induced! I can appreciate why you wouldn't want it...I don't either.
