Small background Archie born at 38+6 after medical induction due to reduced movements
7 pound 13

Had colic and silent reflux - was on aptimal first then advised aptimal comfort, had all the treatment for that all the different bottles prescribed gaviscon
Health visitor noticed ezema and lots of rashy spots on clinic visits constantly rubbing eyes and face

8 week injections and rotabix - very upset tummy for a week and three aggressive dihorea episodes and his tummy was never the same

Colic and reflux got horrendous lots of crying and bringing milk up nothing working
Horrific week at around 16 weeks non stop crying refusing milk
Doctors said nothing wrong. Swapped to lactose free sma
Finally after a few days green poos but he settled down. Tried at 19 weeks back to normal formula cue tummy ache and mucus poos

Around 21 weeks now hv said to try normal formula again. Going ok lots of wind and some tummy ache but lots of loose stools again

Ever since he was born - he always get a red blotchy face when milk drinking drier skin and eczema patches on his eye browse. Still always scratching at his face nose/eyes

Doctor today has finally done a Paediatric referral for allergy testing
Either milk he get a blotchy face redness
One ends up with mucus stools and another green poos
He's drinking bottles and always put on weight so I'm abit of a loss

Paed will ask for a stool sample to check for lactose intolerance. I think he'll have to do an elimination to check for allergy and if that's he case I'm sure you'll get prescribed milk as it's quite expensive. Going to paed is heading in the right direction tho

Sounds very similar to my little girl and we are pretty sure she has CMPA, have you tried pepti 1 formula? Or neocate? Could def be a dairy allergy, Archie has all the classic symptoms x pepti 1 still has milk in it but it's more broken down so easier to digest but he may still react, worth a try though! Good luck xx

Just an update ladies they brought the appointment forward and after a long consultation
It was agreed he had all the symptoms of cmpa ! So we tried the nutramagen milk and he wouldn't touch that for nothing
The doctor then prescribed aptimel pepti 2 as he's 6 months now and he wolfs it down
He's still struggling abit, but I'm finding it really difficult what to give him for breakfast etc x
